As a noob... thought i would stop lurking so much and start posting charts as a humble contribution... lol Took this one before i had to go to work... Thanks to all for my favorite thread of all time.. lol Have a great weeken Dred and company...

I am trying to nail this strategy on the longer TF charts (4 hour). Am I right in thinking that we should sort of ignore the current '3' semafore ( as it could be indicating a false top or bottom) and only trade with the previous '3' semafore behind us with that trend. Hope you understand...
You don't have to worry about the number of the semaphore, just a semaphore whatever the number. Look at the rules posted by Dred and just go by them, at no point does he say you have to have a 3 semaphore. The trend though on your chart is obviously up at the moment and if you took longs after a semaphore and pivot fail and stoch in the right direction (you don't show pivots on there so its difficult to see where you might have got in) you wouldn't have gone far wrong. ALL of mustangzs trades were taken after a pivot fail, stoch in right direction, and HA the right colour.

Like others I have great week too. With lots of green pips and some loosers, but when I look in the past I don't respect rules at this loosers.
After a year of trying diferent sistems and tons of indicators I finaly found freebie thread when I looking some information about pivots. Thread looks interesting to me at first time. I don't know why but just does .
My first post on FF is in that thread. Then after some stupid questions I been blocked like others. Then I reread the thread and found some answers for my questions. Than one day Dred unblock us and been able to post in forum again. After some weeks I become fimilar with this system but I think too much , and so I missed the signals.
First time after a year of I feel confortable with trading. I need some training for entries and exits but I now look at system from diferent perspective as at the begining.
Also I understand stupid questions from newbies because I have same problems.

Tips for all newbies again: first read thread and then try trading with system on demo and then reread if necessary. I know that take time but its worth. If you look at trading as buisness .. all kind of buisness takes time to learn.
Just take trades if meet rules, don't look at semaphore number and place TP on next pivot. When you use to it you can manage your trades smarter and take even big moves. There will be looser but at the end you will won with this system.

I learned alot from chat room but I hate when Dred clean it and so we missed some usefull information from "day talk".

i think the immediate trend looks short but the higher TF's were still long, also the gap fill tendency?

well the 15m and 30m ha colour were green, do you always make sure all ha colours are the same?

My entry was red vertical line.

I would have waited until that particular candle had closed because it still had a way to go but you took a chance and it paid off, just be careful about going in when only one 15min candle has closed green and nothing else is.

I dont think theres any set rule about how many ha`s closed in the same direction, but normally do you wait for all time frames to be the same and how far back do you like to have the same colour?

No there isn't any particular rule, just personal preference, if you look back over the charts you will see that many times the 15min will close green and then turns again, so I wait until a 15min candle closes along with another colour, many times waiting for that will also get you in at a better price so waiting doesn't bother me.

This is an interesting thread, I read it from the beginning. I am testing the strategy on demo now.

I have question about the exit: "use daily range/pivots to max profits".

How is this done exactly? If the daily range is 100pips as an example - is my tp in 100pips? Or do I choose the pivotline that is next to the dailyrange? Is this dependent on the timeframe? Or do I use the same range in M15 as in H4?

I think entry is clearly displayed in the thread, but I think it is nice if somebody could emphasize on the exit.

Can someone tell me, is it 10 people maximum in the chatroom? Tried to get in earlier and couldn't due to a restriction but was trying on my iphone so not sure if that was what was causing the problems.
