yes it does. but if it just lags 1 bar then that's something i can deal with.

not me. if i know the stop point (risk) i like the reward of that bar in my pocket.. b.e. is not a bad trade. i love bounces. but to buy at a high like 3899, at least in my trading experiences, is a fools game. a bounce is so much more rewarding, more times then holding the drawdown. you do miss some trades. you miss the drawdowns too. most moves in a particular tf. go an = distance from the last one before proceeding.

i like confirmation. usually is about 10-20 pips penalty for waiting for confirmation.

I'll have to disagree with that point bother. Many times, in my experiences, buying the highs, or selling the lows, if done at the correct price, can offer r:r's just as close to trying to pick the tops and bottoms. Many times, when I traded on the floor, we would get near at important level, say a weekly or monthly high, and I would buy the that level, or a tick better. Many times r:r was as close to zero as possible, as the market just kept going. The trick was getting out quick enough when it was a false breakout, and not being the one holding the bag, on the turn. I dont practice it as much, but if I see a good area that looks like it might hold a level that might produce a good breakout, I'll take a shot.

hey we might open at 3977... but it didn't cost me a thing. i cant control the news. but i can control when/where i trade. my old fashioned techs point to 3977 393x 3899...... in the eu... and are very close within now and 37 usdx pips from a bounce or a possible bottom.. so i will have stops tight.. either way..

all I'm saying is that the r:r on a breakout can be just as lucrative at times...
