Finally this broke out and gave a signal, lets hope its a successful trade!
Will close before todays close if PA is stalling.

Other Trades Update:

usdjpy 1/2 @ +23 rest still rolling current +24 pips
gbpjpy 1/2 @ +42 rest still rolling current +78 pips
eurjpy 1/2 @ +49 rest still rolling current +107 pips

Almost forgot!! eurchf 1/2 @+37 rest..s/l +5 pips

All stops to +5 pips

My friend can I ask you what entry signals you use, is it simply the price moving +5 pips out of the CZ or is there more to it? Also how do you determine TP on each trade?

Had a more disciplined day today to bank total of 148 pips. Should have adopted the 2 trade method and let the 2nd one run for a lot more....

Best one for me today, chfjpy, went to 80, took my 20 anyway.

hey guys, I'm very interested in this system.
I've just finished the reading of many post of you and I couldn't figure out how you determine the width of the box in order to know if it's a sound CZ?

The indicator for this system lacks. After the box has to be just an audio alert. Dozens of invalid alerts degrade first valid.

An email alert when a box has formed and no more alerts after the 1st breakout would be useful. All of this, would of course, depend on each traders preferences set in the indicator.

Hi FH, I'm going well, hope you are too. I've been lurking here quietly but am using Stairsteps on my intraday charts. The strategy is one of the soundest ever posted here on FF.

IMO they are completely missing the point - a mechanical system that breaks even trading forex on multiple pairs? Quite an achievement I'd say. I agree entirely except that preferences should allow 1 alert for short signal and 1 alert for a long signal. Any progress on the EA?

Hi Mogulmedia,

I use the sq indicator for my entries, I also look at s/l via MTF,s. I trade using Mer,s boxes so I like to invoke those with the CZ,s which I find sorts out a lot of rebuffed entries.
I use the sq indicator for tp, but I lock and take 1/2 profit at tp2,(lock s/l to +5 pips always!!) then let pa run (hopefully!!!) closing parts with the pa and tp,s strength push (let it run!!) candle patterns are watched..I also use Lou G,s Alf,s ( when pa closes through I shut down or add on depending on strengths through MTF,s)
