No Alert At Every Bar Close Help

Just need help adding code to make an indicator alert not go off at the close of every bar...I've been playing around with this thing all weekend and trying to get the alert to only go off once instead of every bar......pretty frustrated at this point...

It is very simple to do. Just keep track of the time of the bar when the alert is hit. Then add the number of seconds until the next alert is desired and only send an alert if the time is greater than that.

So if you have skip bar value of 3 on a 15M chart the next alert would happen at Time[0] + 15*60*3;

so I just use that line of code and where do I place it...im kind of new to coding and have only just began playing around with it here and there...

Is it an event trigger alert...an example would be RSI below 50. You want it to trigger only on the bar where the rsi went from 50 to 49 and not trigger every bar while rsi is below 50.

if so then an alert section where you do the equivalent of:

Inserted Code
if(alertson)
  if(rsi[2]>50 && rsi[1] < 50)
     {
        some alert code here such as SendMail, Alert etc
     }
or use a doAlert function like this

  if(rsi[2]>50 && rsi[1] <50)
   {
      doAlert("rsi below50");
   }
where the doAlert function is

That's example is exactly what I was referring to...an it makes sense to add it to the alert code area but I must embarrasingly admit the rest of everything is a bit over my head....so the thing codemesiter suggested would that line that's a different color in my post above be the exact code that would be added...

I'm currently trying out all the options of code offered in here so far...and seeing if maybe I can figure something out and have a break through or some sort....

You are not going to progress in your programming knowledge by asking for code every time you run into a problem. The only way to learn is to do it yourself. Try a few things first and then ask specific questions.
