Its a taboo because you need to have that little extra, knowing that liquidity will kick in and when to leave the setups...

This is also why EAs are doomed to fail unless they are tweaked, and tweaked and tweaked...

If you ask me all the indicators does the same thing... sort off...

But its good to build patience though

Yep. EA's are something else for sure... had many goes and generally, I have had decent success with the 4h EA's and up... but what is the point of that? EA's purpose is to trade for you when you are not available... so 15m and less IMO.

Just because I'm a nerd though, I always have to take a 'crack at building a better one everytime I notice something new

Im not a comp exp...but I have a theory based on the negative or 'area" of the chart.....could u use calc to come up with a EA to use the area and then maybe the prob of it coming back to equilibrium?

Talking about EAs and stuff. Does anybody know of a java wrapper around mt4. I would very much like to automate my orders from java code. Not really an EA because I will still enter the trades manually.

I'm terrible with math actually... beyond the basic stuff... but if you give me an equation I can implement it.

Or, a way of describing it within the context of the candles etc...

ie. ((H-L[x periods]) / current price) or whatev...

Hit up OQ... he is crazy smart with the Maths.

Those guys are getting better and better at it... All of those equity curves are not to shabby at all... considering it is an EA.

There's that jfxp file down the page. I've seen it in another place but the api didn't seem to allow writes into mt4. However looking at the example file, that maybe could be done though.

I haven't done c/c++, except in school a little. I'm hard core java. I'll take a look though.
