I use FxPro which had a close on Friday of 1.3384 and opened today at 1.3373, =11 pip gap

Open on my FxPro was 1.3342

It was over 40 pips you have something wrong there, I have open 3343 live and demo.

Ok So a majority vote there was a gap of over 40 pips.

How does anyone set there TP. For BOTH Long and short trades as spread will factor in.

I missed the TP and took a full loss on last nights? Was that correct? I know Tom will laugh if I even suggested BE. However his evolving R does ring in my head. I missed by 4 pips, so risked 40 for 4 and then took -40. So thats actually risking 80pips for 4 pips. hmm

Im seeing this as a mechanical method with no meddling on a trade, is that correct too ?

Well, so demo is obviouslly wrong , check live quotes, price was 30 pips lower on any feed. You shouldnt base your decisions on such a feed....30pips off is just too much

IMHO ...nor should you base your decisions without the knowledge of gap fills without knowing where S/R flips are

Ok so some people have an issue with feed reliability. Clearly not good, attached is what I saw and therefore what I traded, have also embedded my Oanda feed, within 2 pips. MBT opened at 1.3342 and FXDD was 1.3340.

Regardless to whether we all agree on how large the gap was, what I'm interested to hear about is how accurate people are with there TP's, as per my first post. Although that's now becoming questionable with the discrepancies between the feeds anyway.

It looks like the Gap target would finally need to be based on the actual broker your are trading with as we all know the differ by a few pips. BUT how accurate do we need to be? Do I need to worry about spread? When the gaps close is there a minimum price has statistically always shot through ? None of the gaps on any of the brokers look to have fully closed as I understand it.

I don't have this data yet. Can anyone who is trading the gaps help me here pleeeeeeease.

just closed for 55Pips

Looking at 1.3215 area on EUR/USD.But bying would go against the big downtrend.
