dunno why, must be in the zone or something, but read that move like a book right from ism and yet only made 20 pips on it, it's all about the execution...

actually tbh, i figured spike low to 27x on the number release and then up...

edit- unless it makes a db @27x, then i no longer am reading it right, we could be transiting to bear mode, original tp was gonna be a new high....

2nd edit- all stop loss and order flow driven atm, most frustrating was 302 entry getting stopped b/e before the up move..

Oh, no. That would take away the accuracy of the entry. The entries are based on the levels chart I posted here many times, combined with what this chart says of how much of THIS move is left (in general given by the indicators + the channels). The vertical lines in the panel at the bottom show possible turns, and the arrows on the chart possible additions to the current trade (I rarely take those). This chart a 100 ticks/bar and it's the trigger. There is also a higher one that's 1000 ticks/bar and that has to also be at a bouncing point (at least). The chart I posted earlier is 56250 ticks/bar (very slow but it gives me the bias). So it's not one thing, unfortunately...

Wow, thanks for clearing that up.

I dont use the ticks in forex but have used it when trading other instruments back in the day

Do you only get ticks from FXCM or do you look at the intra market chart online also?

So here's how an entry looks like. Short at the rejection of the yellow level. Closed it already for about 8 pips I think.

No. The chart software is QuoteTracker and the feed is from iqfeed. It just happens to get the fxcm one. There is also Barklays and one more...

Yeap euro stuck in a noisy range. It has failed to test both S and R so obviously no real moves until now....

Decent day on other markets but nothing especial. Stock markets also with a timid move up and staying near broken S for the FA movers tomorrow and Friday...

Only US afternoon session positioning for tomorrow can shake things a bit but its looking rather dull ATM...
