Take an early weekend. I have won some, lost some, and by the end of the week, I am mostly satisified with my trades, so really not much loss...

Most Fridays, when London closing bell chimes, I am done. I don't hang out for NY...there have been some decent week closes into NY and a few bux to be made, but for the most part, I can't be bothered.

well i've been full time with them for two years, and from what i recall the servers have gone down just once in that time, i was straight on the phone to them and it was genuine, it wasn't during nfp or other high volatility scenario, and the spreads are usually good during nfp, 2 pips on e/u...

Sounds like my time at Oanda. A couple of times...I had a month's worth of work...wiped right the fak out!

I've had people from all directions...you didn't know what you were doing. You should have used a stop!

You should try Oanda with a decent amount!

Really, they're just defending themselves. The interbank market itself goes to he!! in those announcements, not in small part because of the HFT that gets turned on during them.

Someone just told me of a study by BIS that indicates that there is (I was told) around a quarter of forex volume conducted by the HFT's. I can't believe that; I suspect that that includes the triangle arb computers that all the dealers run to keep the crossed pairs in line. But in the announcements, no question the computers are in there mixing it up in the interbank flows.

so far, i haven't had that problem. even if they did, doesn't really effect my trading. i usually stay away from fomc anyway. maybe afterwards... if i see a very good setup, but that happens very rare.

I think it was 3% up on a trade when it would start to kick in. Helter Skelter.

After I repeated that a few times, the delay came on my entries. Click to enter...nothing. WTF? Click again. Nothing. Is my mouse broken? Click once more... BAM! All three would open and the position was against me.

No, I just wasn't aware of that bias. If I'm not trading in and out, I just stay as close as possible because of carry. Right now, on the bid, X = 1260, Z = 1310, 5 on each. During the pit hours, though, probably a Z bias. I just put it on the page with X, and am going to watch it during the trading day.

Typically why for my meta4 accs, I run them 2x per trade station. That way, if one locks up, I can still try to close the fucker on the other...

Haven't needed to do that in a long time, but after a few fucking horror shows, I don't take chances with nothing!
