By the way, here's what a futures market margin call spike looks like. Evidently there were some longs who were getting sold out (always at market) on the open, and, well, more sellers than buyers.

Took only a few seconds for the bastards to screw them, and then to business as usual. This stuff is $250 per cent per contract.

Yeah...I'm not too paniced about letting go of the long I had on. Was near the low, but plenty of time to get on board if she runs.
