From a strictly Economics point of view I agree, let the market correct itself. However, the too big too fail is sadly not a myth with banks. From the megarich Sweden and Iceland, To Lehman in the US passing through most of South East Asia to Argentina and even the poorer Ecuador and Venezuela.....all of them have pay the severe consequences of letting too big too fail banks fail.....

Some recover rather quickly and rebound stronger due to excellent policies after (i.e Sweden, S. Korea), other are stuck in the vicious circle (Argentina, US, etc) and other are worse....so if you add politics in the equation who on earth will want to pass in history and lost reelection allowing banks to fail? ....nobody ...

Mediocre day continue across markets....Hopefully FOMC later will give us some juice.
