See what I mean. Seeing how one bar behaves gives you a very good indication of what to expect on the next bar. Never see them in isolation, they are all related and dependent on each other.

Now we finally have an open and a close inside the channel, that only means that as long as the next bar does not fake below, we will see a momentum bar here, hopefully with a follow through.

If we do get a test and fake below, expect to see a bear bar enclosing each and every previous test with at least a test of the mid of that last bull momentum bar taking us in the channel in the first place.

ok...now regarding channels...we seem to have a few LTL's converging just below...how does that relate to R:R....not a lot of pips if it reverses off of one of them 30-50...but could be heavy traffic...

Ah well, need a break. This shows you how you can anticipate the next bar based on the behaviour and actions of the previous ones. IT also shows you how you can judge the next one forming based on basic actions against the previous ones.

Simple if-then-ifs. There are only so many options of a bar forming and most of it is entirely based on the last one.

Other than being a little baffled by the bounce in the Greek bonds, doesn't seem to be much new or changing: a little more fraying around the edges here and there. I can't wait to hear what the UBS trade really was: most credible speculation I heard was a wrong-side, maybe vol trade on the E/C. It wouldn't have been hard to lose that money leveraged into a 1100 pip move against you.

Meantime, I'm going to spend the weekend in the mountains north of Tucson. Birthday party. (The ski area there, I believe, is the southern-most ski area in the continental US - Hawaii has one farther sourth). Would have liked to get to the beaches at Puerto Penasco, but not time to get back Sunday.
