Let me explain in a different way. You should identify zones on higher time frames. Even starting with the weekly and moving down. This way you are more likely to identify the significant zones. Use the lower time frames for entry.

On this 1 hour chart of the g/u you can see those areas of supply you mentioned on the 15 min chart now seem unimportant. The area it is at right now is a demand area. Just look to the left at those big bullish candles. I think one could consider going long here but this would be against the bigger trend. Waiting for price to return to the area of the last swing high supply area may be worth the wait.

Actually the first price I took wasn't the best, but the next one was better positioned.

Just want to pay my respects to all the great traders who started and have made this the great thread that it is. Redsword, Orbital, Kenny, Inmyante and many more. I stumbled on this thread after trying many many different methods/systems. I had dismissed supply/demand/price action trading in the past and only in my search did I revisit it and find it is probably as close to the "holy grail" as one can get. I have been studying this LONG thread and related threads and I am loving every bit of it. I love the s/d indicator that kenny posted in the romancing the price thread. AWESOME!!! I feel I understand the basics and I have had more success with s/d trading than any other indicator based method out there. Thanks again everyone and looking forward to trading with you all.

I 'm very new too chart read and chart pattern and i've searched on internet what's the name of this candle but didn't find it.

Maybe you can help me?

The CHF/JPY went in a daily demand zone so i buy it but i forgot the fondamental in my analisys(even if i had win 40 pips, i'm down to 82 pips)

If the green bar had a lower close, it would be a very obvious IPB (Inverted Pinbar)
Regardless, it did the same job, spiking and absorbing the sell orders, allowing price to easily rise again to the top of the bar, and maybe beyond

Hi there I will be trading some 5 minute charts for a bit so figured i could throw them up and show what I am seeing/expecting. i have been doing some backtesting on major highs/lows of the day and have found them to be very pivotal turning points on the next day or second day after. Hope all is well with everyone here.

it looks like a bottom hammer or inverted hammer , but not exactly convincing.
