From what he wrote he doesnt use stochs as the main part of his method, but just as a confirmation tool for what it is already obvious (to him) on the screen. He also didn't present a system but just gave some detailed examples of his trades. Difficult to infer his real reason to enter the trade too.

It will be good to hear from actual traders that have started small and now can live off their trading, ie: having no other means of income. It surely is possible theoretically.

I don't trade full time, first reason - it would drive me crazy, but I do derive a large chunk of my income from trading.

I started with a $2,000 account (well I really started with a $300 account that i blew in about 2 months) but I slowly added to it with my gains and monthly from my savings as I grew more confident. I trade my own system that includes a lot of what you will hear not to do on here so I won't go into it. But yes, it is possible, I choose to work for 1. a back up plan (you never know) and 2. my own sanity. Later in life, perhaps when I have kids, I'll choose to just trade.

Oh and it wasn't an over-night, get rich quick (I'm far from rich), I slowly grew the account over the last 8 years and am still growing it. Patience is key as well as developing your OWN system and learning from the markets, not a self-prescribed guru. Never take a trade that's not your idea.

Micro accounts can work for those traders who can make x amount of pips consistently a day, but I only know a few who can (not the ones pretending).

Using a Martingale can be quite safe (depending on your system setup), it must be used with strict limits and is a good way to get that small account producing daily cash flows. You need a larger account around £10K+ to start.

Hello everyone, I have a micro account and able to survive in this market for 3 mounths of active trading, just got to have a good mindset technique, and know your strategy, stay out when markets are too volitile for you and pull the trigger when your criteria is met, I have a 1:1 ratio but I am 77% correct, my statistic from more than 200 trades over the past 3 monts.

Hi, I have just completed the thread, but I still can't undestand when a position should be closed? As I see not only when a stop is hit...?
It's clear that everything is relative, but there must be a rule, for example: Never let a winner to turn into a loser...?

You have got to Follow your strategy, set up stop losses and your target before entering, main mistakes that a trader makes is that they close good positions early and loosing ones late!

To live in a G20 nation and trade fx for a living you need at least 125K in your account.

then a 500k account might return 50k a year.....

50k, before taxes, would not cover my total cost of living.......h

experience might advise against trying it however...... the risk to reward in believing the rags to riches illusion is too high....

I'm learnig how to trade and i whant to trade for a living.There was a night that i was thinking how can i make it happen.So i got a calculator and i started to count.I find out that if you start with a small account of balance 200$ in a ear you can make 26,000$ if you can make profit each week 200 pips but thats sounds really hard.I dont know i did the count right ? i maked the count with 1% of risk.
