erm, good question..

financial freedom, be my own boss, because i actually enjoy it...

but is financial freedom the same as greed? and this does just boil down to semantics at the end of the day, ie. what the word "greed" means to you personally...

ok here's a philosophical thing: greed in and of itself is neither a good or a bad thing, only thinking makes it so...

Yes, in a way anyway.... Financial freedom? It's never enough. Hence that leads to greed. Let's face it. We are all greedy bastards. To me, greed is good. It's a motivation. That's why I love greedy bastards.

i got a moment of clarity, better get it down because it may not last long O_o

ok, so this is almost reverse psychology, so by using the word greed or greedy and because of the negative connotations society places on that word.. subconsciously it's saying that to be successful and to make a lot of money from trading or business generally is a negative thing..

whereas if you substitute greed for ______, or something that implies that you can now afford to do things for others and all the other positive attributes that go with being wealthy, etc. etc.

if that makes sense..

there were quite a few banker/stockbroker types at this wedding i went to yesterday (all really lovely, genuine and generous people i might add, even if a little chemically enhanced), so it's something that i have actually been thinking about a great deal today...

Damn... Too complicated.... Bottom line, I do this to make money, and be able to feed my own greed. All else is secondary.

feck it, the business is demanding enough having to manage entries, exits and risk without having to worry about shyte like ethics, etc...

btw, i'm not against greed as such, was just trying to frame it in a positive context..
