In the pit world...where is/was it calculated from...5pm EST/4pm (local) get vodka time?

What time were calcs done from...pivots...mofus...margin calls?

+/- 1 or 2 would explain broker diffs, but...anyone else got a DPP value?

since fx is 24hours, i like to use the sessions. for pivots you can do the (high + low + close) / 3 to every 4hour bar... anyone use that? i don't use pivots though

yea pivots should be calculated from the 4 hour chart its basically an average price of the 4hr bar....

only daily pivots.. calculated on 00 GMT.. just as an addition, most of the time in calm markets PA playing around that level before frankie-london start their play..

I hear you, I never mess with pivots but I guess most are using daily pivots set from 5pm NY or 00:00GMT, so probably best to use those in that case. The 4hour pivot or 8hour pivot would give you session pivots. I like to look at it in sessions because each session is different just based on the structure

But that's where it gets kind of funny for me...

How would pivots based on Tokyo's session shape London's movement?

I love PP's...love fibs. You can calculate the pivots of the room you're sitting in! Makes more sense to calculate the fibs, but hey...wtf...if you're practicing calculating...go nutz!

I've always just wondered...is there a "Universal" time that players...aka..."bastards"...calculate their pivots from? 5pm EST seems to make the most "sense" to me. But...I lack a lot of that, in a common way, so...whatever.
