Complex question, and really beyond the scope of a trading thread. Goes to the heart of the split in the Republican party, and the migration of statist/corporatist interests to being more protected by the Democrats than by the ascendant wings of the Republicans.

For the markets, particularly the stocks, though, it would probably mean brown fan blades.
