Parents and I have a very unique relationship. Very independent, probably only chat with 'em once every month or two... but not because of bad words or anything... just the style of our family. Moving away from where they live also contributes to that... but I make effort to get with them at least once every 3 months (and them me). New years time brings a bit more visits too because of the Holidays and what not.

Always loved their style on raising us kids. Provide just enough resources for one to stand on our own feet and let us take off from there. Always there to catch when falling but would require most effort on one self to get moving again. They wouldn't have any problem giving a good ol foot up the arse too if not doing enough!! hehe...

Bit of lost in thought here...diverted from the original question a bit... feckin ADD... lol... But yes... I should have a few more years of this work / trading stuff... till I can separate fully from work. Still have plenty more to learn too... patience being a big one of it.

Interesting how something as crazy as the markets can truly make you learn oneself.

There are a few things like that in the world of Microsoft. TAPI is one. Apparently there are like six guys who really understand TAPI, one of which works for MSFT, and the other five sell four figure libraries of TAPI functionality, and nobody, including MSFT, is willing to provide any decent documentation or examples on how to build anything useful using the API or the core objects.

Apparently the system kernel is full of undocumented ways of doing things which have no API callable equivalents, too. That way, the house can keep the edge in doing certain things.
