Is that the same reason we see alot of negative reviews on this thread as well ?!

do u still not accept applications from certain countries (like mine, the Philippines)?

i have several trader-friends from 2 local forums who are also interested/have asked me about updates, but i refrain from mentioning/recommending MBT because of this restriction.
please relay my request to MBT.

i guess the restriction is still in place. i just checked the "Get Started" page.
maybe MBT UK doesnt have the same restriction. in the front page, it says "Now Accepting customers globally".
no plans for an Asian branch yet?

You mean here on FF? Look, let’s be honest. From where we sit, we know that a lot of what is said about us on forums is untrue. I can usually tell by the post. Some people have a legitimate gripe or are pointing out a bug, and that’s great, we want to help those people. This thread has always been about helping those people and having a legitimate conversation about what we do in the industry versus what the rest of the industry does. I have been posting here for five years or more, and I go out of my way to not mention or speak negatively about other brokers. But then there are people that say “I’m constantly getting requoted on your system.” Now, I know for a fact that neither our Desktop nor MT4 software is capable of sending a requote message out, so that simply isn’t true. I saw a post here one time, “I had an account with MB but the requotes in their MT4 software were so frequent that I closed my account.” So when I ask for details or screenshots or account info in private from that person and they never reply, but they “took the time” to come post one negative comment here, well, you decide. Obviously, there are games played in this industry. Our thread here on FF was one of the first any broker ever started and we have almost a million views, so obviously, we’re doing something right that most other brokers wouldn’t dare to do. That makes us a target for their junk. If we have a hiccup, they try to turn it into the end of the world. So if you are asking if the negative posts on this thread come directly from that other board/website and our falling out with them about how they “promote” their partners, I wouldn’t know specifically. I actually doubt it in that case. They are probably happy on their site steering people away from us and they have enough traffic that comes to them directly that they don’t need to go out onto other boards and spread negativity about us to help their cause. But certainly, there are plenty of forces at work that have a reason to put doubt into people’s minds about our products and offerings. I will also say that in the early launch days of the UK broker, which went live last week, we’re seeing a terrific response, so it seems to me that a lot of people have an interest in what we do, they just wanted it outside the US regulators and with 100:1 margin, maybe with hedging too. If half of the negative things that people try to say about us were true, I don’t think the opening of the UK entity would be having such early success, but time will tell.

MBT is good broker - Deal with it.
If someone is wanna-be trader and have MC more frequent than I have SL, then if he/she is looking for the guilty - they should look into a mirror...

I have made over 3000 trades with you guys and have never, not once have gotten a re -quote.

My hats off to you Justin. You are on here almost everyday. You respectfully answer the most obtuse of comments.

You guys have proven yourself. Just keep doing what you are doing.

P.S: I do have one complaint. During the last NFP release I entered a market order. When I entered the long order my platform had a price of 1.4343. I got filled at 1.43431. Man, what is wrong with you guys?

Got an email about MBT's tight spreads which gave me a chuckle as the last few sessions GBPJPY spreads are wide and even Oanda has better spreads on that pair.

If i did not get the promo on how good spreads are at MBT i would not post this. :-)) Thanks for the chuckle

MBT is a good broker tho. M happy with them but the spread reminds me of quotes from the lowest liquidity providers.

Wow, I was truly surprised today (in a good way).

MBT CEO takes everything seriously and always listens to the feedback.

5 stars, as usual.

As for all the "real" negative posts in forums/sites, let's be honest here, most of the time it's always due to newbies loosing money and blaming broker.

Yes, sometimes broker is actually to blame, but that's like 5% of the time.

When I recommend MBT, I always say this: if you can't make profits with MBT, you won't make profits with other brokers as well.

To be fair, I don't know any other (non institutional) broker that I can trust and therefore, I'll be staying with them.

Many happy customers have no reason to post here. Since MB offered Metatrader, the experience level of their client pool has gone down as its a free platform, and usually the first one a new FX trader encounters. Much of what gets posted here these days is directly related to inexperience.

Meanwhile people like me, who were happy to pay $4.95 per $100,000 back in 2008 to get real ECN execution, then thrilled when they dropped the commission to $2.95, then bowled over when they started paying for limits... have little reason to post here, as this thread has degenerated into a bitchfest of Metatrader morons.

I gave MB a chance in 2008 because I was impressed that they had a thread that openly discussed problems and needed improvements. Problems got discussed, suggestions made, and improvements followed... like ending the Midnight Eastern Rollover. Sadly, little productive give and take happens here anymore.

When you see a bunch of complaining posts you have to remind yourself that what you don't see are posts from the many happy customers who have no reason to post.

When the info in the Positions and Open Orders windows inexplicably disappears, I used to restart Navigator/Desktop/Desktop Pro and everything was fine again.

There are easier ways to restore that info.

1) If you have a pending open order, and it can be changed rather than cancelled, select change. Then, just click OK or Submit (I can't remember which option it gives you) without actually changing anything. This sends a signal to both windows and the info reappears.

or

2) Set a Trailing Stop or Limit Order far away from current price. Again, this wakes up both windows. Be sure to cancel the Trailing Stop or Limit Order once the info appears.

If you have positions/orders open in two or more currency pairs, I can't remember whether it brings back all info for all pairs, or just the one that you are tweaking.

I have US-based MBT Desktop Pro account and I use the MBT Mobile for Android. So far no major problems - you get charts, quotes, watch list, basically everything you need to trade while travel. Execution is fast and reliable. Few weeks ago there was a problem with position prices averaging, but it seems they fixed it.

hi, does any recommend a trading platform that displays the trade prices, and orders in realtime?
i remember some being diaplayed on the web somewhere and feel i'd like to research their value as 'depth of market' tool!
