For anyone who is interested I am now using Miss Pips latest version of the SAH. I have attached 2 templates one template has Pipware attached, the other one hasn't. If you dont have PipWare please use the other one. Both templates have cavemanager attached.

Did you download all the helper indies that go with the SAH? Because your MT4 experts tab is saying that it cant open TDI.exe. That would explain why the latest version runs ok and 64 doesn't. When the SAH cant open something it runs slow because of all the errors that are generated.

10, 21, and 34 is a combination that Miss Pips says can work also. I am using the settings below because it is what I am comfortable with

Sorry for the confusion - I meant MA cross combo for type 33. T thought 105 was a bit long for the 15 but I see you already reduced them. The current ones are good too. I like it when they translate into useful ones one the lower tfs too.

I read this thread and heard that many have problems with blocking MetaTrader, or decrease speed when in chart is embedded in a certain Indicators.
I have a old QuadCore Q6700 overcloked to4x3Ghz & 8Gb RAM DDR2 800Mhz

P.S.-you can try with two core , I think that MT4 is programmed (writted) for only one core

I've made the changes as you suggested except for the priority which I could only change to High.
I'll keep an eye on things

Just thought I'd make a contribution to this impressive thread on FF. I've only just recently signed up, so its nice to greet you all! I'm currently reading through the whole THV thread, but I'm only on page 150 so I have a long way to go to fully harness the potential of this system, but I feel reasonably confident on the basics of this strategy.

I've been researching numerous trading systems/strategies, and the THV system really caught my eye, in conjuntion with Miss Pips MTF histogram - a most effective tool I have to say. I'd just like to say thank you to all the individuals who put their time and effort into making this robust yet flexible trading system.

As you can probably tell, I am a novice trader who has had mixed success with trading in general since I started. However, after backtesting the THV system with encouraging results, I thought I'd give it a go on today's EUR/USD. I was pleased to scalp a modest 17 pips from the system .

With THV, I use a simple Laguerre system which I actually adopted from the "Imram Scalp Strategy". I'm also studying the SonicR system at the moment and it also looks quite promising. Heck, I've even adopted SpudFyre's MultiPeriod Stochastics Rainbow indicator too. I realise there are quite a lot of things going on there, and perhaps I'll drop some of these systems in order to simplify things - I have indeed heard that simplicity is the key to successful trading, but I guess I'm still learning.

I've attached two charts of the trades I did today, one for 1M the other for 5M. I could have entered the trade earlier, but I wanted the trade to first surpass the S/R points. Anyway, hope you all have a nice weekend, and my thanks again for all your hard work!

Hello,

I like to use the THV4 with Linux and wine. But the Minichart on the right side looks curios.
Does anybody know why this happens?

On the 1M chart there was a great trend line breakout. Prior to this, was a strong hint that the trend was about to change in the form of a very tight consolidation of the Coral, Cloud and price action. The price is now hovering around R3, and would have fetched a good 12-15 pips.

I didn't trade this particular breakout however, as I'm still uncomfortable on the 1M timeframe... I only use it confirm an entry on the 5M, as well as my own learning experience. Hopefully when I'm not quite so 'green' I'll give the 1M a chance sometime


EDIT: I'd just like to add that the same thing is apparent while looking at the 5M timeframe, indicating a possible trend reversal overall, if it breaks that R3 point.

I am having a hard day and in the end of it I find this THV system, my question is: is it a EA or indicator?, sorry but I cannot think to clear right and I do not understand the first 6 o 7 pages if it says one think or another, and there is so much to read... Could you tell me?

My friend if you cant think clear, i have to tell you one thing..........don't trade, i made the same mistake and lost a bundle
get a clear head and get a system and stick to it
don't change system because you lost some money, look into you, why you lost money and than re_adjust

MissPips, I'm having some trouble with the SAH ePeriodType 44. It seems to be writing the current price in the top left corner of the chart. Over writing the THV3 ATR pips indicator but only that ePeriodType seems to be doing this. Any way of changing this behavior? see attachments. thank you in advance.

Hi, Im a new member and having stumbled upon this thread from a thread on another forum about a sniper system.

Well, the thread on the other forum seems to have dried up, and I see this is still going strong, so before I embark on reading all 1500 pages (as I did with the 350+ pages on the other forum) I want to know whether anyone who uses this has used the sniper system before, and how does each compare ?

I'm currently on page 544... its quite a long read I can tell you It is however quite enlightening and will most surely help you get a better grip on this system in the long run.

I can't say I'm terribly familiar with sniper's system. Would you mind posting a link or a PM so I can see whether it may prove to be useful with the THV system?

I'm going to start reading this thread now. I'm currently demoing 3 different systems, so a fourth MT4 won't make any difference !!!

Hey no worries I only joined a week or so ago

A couple of posts back, you may have seen me mention that I too was using several different systems with the THV system. Since then, I've pretty much disregarded the other systems I was using except one (the Lagerre indicator), and even then I would only take passing looks at it, and of course I've kept the trend lines. This is mainly because the MTF system for THV is such a useful tool that I've had little reason to use other systems... plus my mind was turning into jelly with all those indicators I had

At the end of the day though, it all comes down to how the trader likes to trade... thats what I've mainly gathered from the last 600+ pages, which I guess is at the heart of it all anyway.

Regardless, I wish you the best of luck with THV and your own trading strategy, and I hope to hear of your successes soon.
