Yea..lets see how it behaves now...i did it yesterday.

i think i got it how to avoid resetting of old charts when opening FxPro after the crash.

save your chart settings as a Profile. this way u dont have to keep loading all templates for each pair.
once u've saved it, u just have to load the desired profile & it will show all your charts just as u like them.

also, try if updating your MT4 helps. the current MT4 build/update, i believe, is version 402.

Hmm.... that is odd. Often times we will we odd things on demo feeds, but I cannot remember seeing things like this on live feeds. At least it did not create a trade conflict...

Ha ha wanted to see if someone had posted this yet This is what I do. I keep about 40 pairs in a profile and I just save it whenever I make multiple changes to my charts. Another tip is to create a different profile for each of your time frames. This makes it SO much easier review each individual TF when you have quite a few charts. I may also have a profile or two in there for *gasp* other methods

The only issue that I have found with profiles is that sometimes the chart info for a specific chart becomes corrupted. When this happens I figured out how to fix it though. Just go into the MT4 profile -> history -> the server that you use -> then find the chart and TF (it will be in minutes) and delete it. MT4 will just redownload the data. Voila.

Ya this is just a bad feed. So the price didn't happen of course but it gets stuck in mt4. Sometimes restarting it can get rid of it if the broker updates their end too. Also you can change it in tools history center

I completely agree every thought and comment is useful in the learning process, and many thanks for yours.

It is good to know that others view the setups as I do, the problem that I remember from trading ftse stocks is that obvious setups usually cause a large gap up in the opening and if you have a buy stop order it can get slipped right through the first target giving a loss on the position, however I will demo and see if that's the case.

Tried both the 'Download' and 'Edit' options in Tools->History. It works.
And then, when I refresh chart, it's back to the same problem. LOL. Nice workaround, though.

I've now signed up for FXPro demo... just to be on the safer side... three feeds are better than one

Hey Mojo

There is no pinbar on this one. For a pinbar price would need to have created a "tail" this is the long nose we see on them. Also we always wait till the bar closes to determine if it qualifies as a pinbar.

Here is an example of a pinbar the is nice and big

There are different ways to enter them. The most common is waiting for a break. A break means the high break(if you are looking to go long ) or the low breaking(if you are looking to go short). A pinbar is not technically a pinbar until this high or low breaks.

my apologies mojo! The way the screenshot was coming up I saw no wick just a small little open and close

Yes you are correct that is a pinbar I made some comments on a chart for you.
