I've noticed how valid setups that fail to follow through also struggle to go against you. Testiment to the method. It makes it easier to know that something is wrong. Valid setups almost always seem to take off with momentum in your direction. When they don't, I tend to look for reasons to bail rather than reasons to stay.....Not sure if this is your mindset or observation P.Dean

example of a MSCT setup..

as you see in the chart... we got a MS PA band.. I reject the 1st signal bcz according to my rules i got not DT to soften the band and PA's striking mood..
but later I do have it.. i go for it.. and most often i will get the initial move that i look for..

yes more or less.. but i won't make a panici exits.. gotta separate the two..
i just don't wait around for it too much.. if it turns on me fast, sure it will get me with hard sl.. if not and its stalling and messing around.. i then at that point and time will look for the best and lowest exit under 10 if lucky under 5 and move on to next setup.
i don't HOPE and PRAY for it to comeback for me.. life its too short for that.. lol

at the moment we got dollar strength move on all pairs and the bands will look striking.. so we are ambushing for SBT and SMBT..

GU sails as usual on its own world.. and it was a in such bullish, but the dollar strength gave it a long PB form for a possible SBT setup... if it arrives a proper signal.. i will take shot at it..

I did not take eurus because the entry area was so many supports. I-ll wait until break that level

The SMBT trade is substituted of the short coming of the SBT setup so gotta wait for the cross and site the SBT.. if that don't happen then we take it with SMBT.

so to clarify for a SMBT trade it MUST have crossed the mid-line?

jmw1970.....I had to reread that one myself. On page 1 with his original explaination of the method he states "- Striking pa band.. look for a MOM trade, meaning the pullback to the opposite side of the band..

its commonsense to look for a momentum trade...
meaning a swing.. then a pullback to the opposit band.. now if it comes short of that.. then we won't let it slip away by catching it at the mid band cross with RF signal.. priority is to get the SBT (MOM), if not.. then SMBT.. so a cross is a must.


ps) however.. a retrace run can happen at anytime regardless of the crossover of the bands or not.. but that usually happens with a super striking bands and even that could be risky bcz it could run into divergence since it has not fully show the retrace exhaustion..

overall, today has been a tough market.. a rangy one but a rough one..
I myself took 4 shots for 3-1 but only +18 with three winners..
so don't be too hard on yourselves if you miss judge some or mistakes.. it been quite deceiving.
