I would like to do some certified forex trading course any help to find such institution will be a great help.

You mean an accredited bachelor's degree in Forex? LOL, no.

Get a bachelor's in computer science or math, add an MBA afterwards. You'll be well-suited to life as a trader.

I can't imagine that a successful trader would be interested in a so called certified forex level course for any reason, sounds pathetic to me, what would be the point of such certification i wonder? perpetrators of fraud would surely want to capitalize on this, if given the chance, so what you're really trying to say swingtrader is that you're struggling as a currency trader, correct?

Making a bachelor degree in Forex Trading could be the same as making a bachelor or master degree in economics. It doesn't protect against crash!

no lol i know my self any diploma or degree wont help in real trading....i was just looking for some sort of certificate which i can show my friends,family or my wife when they ask where did u learn all thiss?lol

Before I got interested in FOREX I want to have a go at aything that may help me in the equities world.... so I chose this £80 course. You get a Stonebridge Diploma.... doesnt really mean much to anyone but yourself and it looks good in your CV.

Very interesting and I learned alot. The last assignment is a bugger... lol, you have to in your own words tell them the key points you have learnt, I wrote an essay and went off on one including stuff I have learnt outside of the course.

And because of this course... it gave me more hunger.... and Im now studying for the STA Diploma.

(the home study course costs £500)...but if you just buy the books in their recommended core reading it'll cost less and give you more detail. And, on the STA website members area they advertise jobs for Tech Analysts/chartists at various institutions

Now before the Tech analyst sceptics jump on me.... it does have grounding, I recently viewed a post that was held at the HSBC Global Research centre who require a Tech Analyst with an STA Dip. (attached)

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) which used to be NASD gives a two-part Commodities and Futures Exam Series 3 and a shorter one part Series 31 exam if you want to manage other people's funds. There is also a Series 34 exam for Retail Off-Exchange trading, which is typically what we do as retail traders. All of these exams are given through the NFA (National Futures Association). You can study for them on line but you have to take the tests in person.

These tests are required by the NFA for anyone wanting to become a broker or to be a CTA (Commodity Trading Advisor) or to become a member of the NFA. For most people, unless you are or will be working for a company as a trader/broker or if you start your own business where you will be trading other people's money, you don't HAVE to have these, but they are out there if you are interested.

Been trading succesfully for 3 months now live and for over a year with practice accounts. But I sort of ditched HS to trade, I wonder if I have a FINRA degree or a MTA degree I can get a job/become a manager, just leave out the HS part >.<

On a more serious side note, I think I would rather be more concerned on making pips more effectively and efficiently than concerned about how my friends or family will think of me. If I do, I am trading for the sake of showing it off to my friends/family and not trading to make money.

No there is no college forex degree. You might be able to find one class that covers forex briefly with futures.

There is a Series 34 for money managers and those involved in broker/dealer situations. You probably would need the series 7 also.

YOu also need a sponsor for these tests - ie: a business entity you work for who WANTS or NEEDS you to take the test for legal reasons.

"The Series 34 exam is required for those individuals who work with retail customers in off-exchange forex business. The registrants, or "APs" (associated persons), will be referred to as "forex individuals" or "forex APs".

The NFA has submitted a proposal to the CFTC that individuals who were registered with the NFA as associated persons or floor brokers, or approved as sole proprietor principals on May 22, 2008 be exempted from the #34 exam.

Any new registrant will be required to sit for the Series 3 exam and the Series 34 exam to complete registration.

Co-requisite is the Series 3 exam. $70.00 test fee. (Form U-10) 60 minute time limit.

There are lots of information on this forum...for free!!! You can find answer for ANY question of yours. What for you need to get educated by people, who makes money of teaching Forex, rather than make tham on trading it.
