I'd like to share with you something that I've found to be very helpful and complementary, this concept of "gaps" which could also be termed "spike bars".
Just like how some people will trade the weekend gap in forex (looking for it to fill), when you see a big candle that can also be termed "a gap" and very often these will get filled. I often use them for price targets. In the attached pic you can see that I entered in a demand area, took a bit off as a scalp and then hung onto the rest targeting the "gap fill".
