With default settings and only H1 pairs, it went wild and opened multiple trades last night with EURCHF and GBPCHF shorts - all profitable though, I will take a look at the function concern and report back if I can detect any bugs.

Cheers

The robot turned to the dark side! Multiple SLs on GBPUSD H1.

Interesting that it has been behaving well for 3 days, then turned wild last night, give us lots of pip candies, then took it away just as fast, was there some event yesterday that spooked the robot?

Fascinating!

The second red line is a 50 Ema. Prices usually respects that line as much it does the 24. It gives me an idea of the overall trend.

I can`t see "your" dark side...
see attached, an actual screenshot. it nearly trippled the account since yesterday ;-) it is H1 only with a TP of 20

Hi everyone

In reply to Galen and Sgt.forex, could you please post the settings you are currently using? I want to understand if the differing EA behaviour from user-to-user is due to differences in settings, or differences in broker behaviour/price feed differences/other factors.

I stoppped the bot yesterday because of some odd trade decisions.

If we're all aligned on settings for a week or so, then we should be able to make some headway in identifying why the EA produces different results for some.

Daft question also: Is everyone using the latest-and-greatest version?

Thanks!

You dont see the dark side because you not looking at the pair(G/U) he was trading and had multiple losses.

It is not the system that has failed. It is a pair ot the Ea that started acting crazy. Thats why I dont trade live with EA's

Here you go... I have underlined the trade for you.

Goes to show we need to be very careful with using EAs - it behaved on your platform, behaved for a few days on mine, then it went berserk!

I agree with The7 that we should be cautious, we need to be keep testing the EA on the platform extensively before going live.

Gremlins in the system?

Original version (only version I think), H1 only, the rest are as default.

@ Galen

Interestingly, the rapid mutiple trades that ended in profit and the similarly rapid trades than ended in loss were all sells. This suggests to me that there is an issue with the sell side logic - perhaps a copy paste error?

I will take a look, but I'm sure Steve will be able to spot it quickly.

Thanks Invisible, that is a pretty logical assumption.

I am also looking at the mq4 double precision problem mentioned here :http://forum.mql4.com/14834

My current thinking is that there is a problem with the expression (TradeTf == tf) in the function DoesTradeExist(string symbol, int tf) as I am only using H1.

I was about to print out the variables to see for myself if there are the same when trading stopped.

I will spent some time learning strategy tester this weekend to see if I can print out these 2 variables during a run.

Have a great weekend!
