Debt ceiling deal is in place therefore focus on Europes woes should again take over the limelight, hence the beautiful BEOB forming on the EURUSD Daily chart.

Looking for a retracement to 1.42500 approx 23.6 fib for a sell.

Update 1 11:15am PST : Love it when a plan comes together, regretably it doesn't always go this well. Stop Loss set to B/E. Now to set a profit target, 1.41500 looks good, any one else in a EURO sell? Any Recommendations for a T/P?

Update 2 11:50am PST : Out at B/E, looking at next fib for a sell

Hey AQ

If you are having trouble figuring out when your broker daily closes you can use this indicator and it will tell you how many minutes are left
http://www.forexfactory.com/attachme...02009%201:17pm

put it into your experts - indicators folder in mt4

Hi

Does anybody know about a service that scans the market and send alerts when for example Pinbars occurs ? I'm on a mac so there is not much software (meta trader and similar) that works so thats why I'm looking for an alert service?

You could run your trading platform in a Windows VM on the MAC. Pretty simple, all you have to do is :

  1. Get a Parallels for MAC (or Virtual Box for a free solution)
  2. Go to your local computer store and get a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium (Approx $100)
  3. Setting up should be pretty simple

Hi

Does anybody know about a service that scans the market and send alerts when for example Pinbars occurs ? I'm on a mac so there is not much software (meta trader and similar) that works so thats why I'm looking for an alert service? They are not as robust as the MT4 platforms, but at the end of the day it pretty much boils down to PA and PPZs. Java platforms will easily do those.

I have a friend who had to run software in the VM on his Mac. It worked well for him. Does MT4 work on Linux? That can be done for free, but I don't know.

Another alternative, but it is a bit more tedious is to go with the brokers who offer Java based trading platforms. These would include Oanda and FXPro. Does anyone else know of any other Java brokers who have platforms like MT4?

Hey Rob, I am also a Mac user (although I have a PC for trading). Parallels will work, however some of the most frustrating computer experiences in my life have come from that program. The support for Parallels is pretty terrible should you have issues with it (which I had and have several). You can try bootcamp which should already be on your machine, you will still have to buy windows though.

One thing I will say is that I have an indi (on my PC) that picks out PA and sends me an alert. When I initially found it I thought, this is gonna be awesome. A couple months later, I find I never use it. Moral of the story, don't buy anything just so you can run an alert

Best of luck

Jacob

To those that are in on the USD/CHF trade I was just going to point out that it is currently in a channel. These are great to look out for and this one is fairly well respected. This is something that for me would be a decent reason to take this trade. That having been said I did not take the trade. It was just not of the caliber that I prefer.

Get yourself onto Parallels. It's the shizzle

Edit: Oh, and a rather personal look on how I view my charts.
