I set mine for .236 just to see what would happen, but the indi rounded it up to .25. What about you guys?

Adewumi, I am trying to understand your messages, but I am finding it difficult. If you have a question for me I will try to answer it. But so far you are not asking, but telling. But this is something I have been doing for almost 3 years, and you are just now reading about it. So do me a favor, and postpone trying to teach us anything about my system until you have demoed for a week or more. Then if you come back and tell us what you have learned I will be more than happy to listen.

I personally changed the default parameter in my copy of the indicator, maybe that's the issue. Did you save it as a template with your specific settings?

I was NOT suggesting adding the alligator to the system. I was simply using it to demonstrate that OTHER indicators that perform a similar function ALSO give the appropriate signal at the appropriate time to the indicator Squalo has created for this system. If you read the other things I said I tend to do in my post...

Did the same in indi and EA
It seem that you have to be carefull with temp. coz "sometimes" original sets appears in indi(s)...

An I am always in the "hole' with IBFX ECN/notECN !!!!!
This night all closed trades had TP and SL. Good
But in Floating I have near all open trades without TP /SL
Is this have some connections with the number of retry of trade modifications send by EA ?

Bert are you using Steve's original EA or did SQ post a new one. I read through the thread again and didn't see it.

For the moment I am running Steve original EA.
Sq is working on a new version of EA mixing : CZ + all stuff of 3Tiers + the fibos levels of Mer.
If it work AND we find the right settings it will be... AMAZING !!!
But for now we have to... wait and test what we have
Sq indi DynBo is very interesting in the aspect of CSV files and on new "exotics" curs as EUR-NZ and US-NOK or XAU
Look at that and you wil be surprise : forget spread, look only at pips...
After it`s only an adjust of settings

Hi Steve and the Gang,

I have a suggestion that may be of some interest. The program does not look to where the price is on a chart in relation to anything such as fibs or other support and resistance levels.

Many of you are seasoned traders and know due to market conditions the price will break to the down side or to the upside or at the very least the odds favor one direction. Having the price move up only slightly thus initiating a buy long only to reverse and fall like a rock as you knew it would from the start is quite irritating and just costs un-necessary losses.

If an on/off switch for long and shorts could be written into the program I believe this would be advantageous.

First off, to FH and sq, I appreciate your work.

I'm having problems loading v1.8; it just loads too slow or doesn't load at all. I don't have this problem with your first version at all.

I noticed in the code you've got plenty of version upgrades prior to 1.8. But I can't find them in this thread.

Can I ask that you post a less bloated version that at least allows an adjustable buffer?

You will have all versions of the EA

CAUTION : all these versions are "working" versions and some settings are NOT working (direct SL)

Also I have some problems with ECN/NonECN Brokers and mail that to Squalou

Squalou knows all these problems and he is also working on the famous "CZ/3Tier" version
But as far as I know he is on vacations in South West of France with his family, sharing his time between barbecue, surfing and cycling...
Good : there are others interesting stuff in life than FX...
For us : we have to wait until...

Hi there!

Thanks. I did the paperclip thing much earlier and the lowest version I could find for sqDynamicBreakoutBox.mq4 is v1.7.

I was looking for the upgrade that only added the box buffers.

But no worries! I edited the code for v1.8 to disable the AutoBoxRange and changed the Daysback to 5 days instead of Unlimited, among other things.

Runs OK now.

On the AUDUSD (M15, H1) the indi has not drawn a box since 1st August. The same withe the EURUSD M15, the H1 since 3rd August.

Using default settings.

I'm just checking to make sure I have it set up right. I realise there will be times of many boxes and times of not many. Just none for 9 days seemed a bit out, esp. on M15.

OK, 22/15/30.

So you are looking for a Consolidation Zone box on only the M15 chart that contains 22 bars, with a height of not more than 30 pips.

But you also mentioned that you were using this same indi on the H1. The problem is that you have it set on "15". If you want to switch around to different time frames without changing the bar and pip values, then you should have this set to "0". Then it will work universally across every TF.

That takes care of the TF settings, but now we have another problem. The bar and pip values were never intended to be universal. 22 & 30 work well on G/U M15 charts, but these settings won't work at all the same on M1 or M5 or H1. Or even on other pairs, for that matter. So for anything other than GU M15 you'll need to test others settings and values until you see your desired sweet spots.

When you reach this point, just save each pair/TF combo as a seperate template. By the time you're done you might have a dozen templates, ready to plug in when ever you need them.

And don't forget the ATR settings. Try an these settings and see what happens: 22/0/30/True/75/.2 See where that gets you.

And finally, keep in mind that this is NOT an "always in" system. I only expect 2 or 3 tradeable CZ's per week per TF. You must be patient to truly appreciate the value of this type of system.

hello all. this would be nothing more than a try. im not a coder. i just cut and paste. i took forexhead system coded by steve with squalo indicator, and tried to combine it with asian breakout system by steve as well.
in some magical way the hybrid works, but obviously need to be changed, improved, and the code to be cleaned to make it coherent.

check it out if you find an interest in it, and suggest some improvements as needed.
