DislikedI would love you to contribute to our thread's purpose though
Looking forward to hearing from yaIgnored
For you price action = technical analysis.
In tech analysis, the core premise (as most traders understand it) is that trendlines and support resistance levels "cause" prices to reverse. By lumping price action in with tech analysis you have in effect created the question:
Why does price action "cause" x outcome?
Nobody can articulate an answer because your question is absurd. Price action (and technical patterns for that matter) does not "cause" anything.
Price actions value is that it shows you what is occuring behind the scenes. You use it to derive the activity of participants and then extrapolate why they are doing what they are. With that in hand you can make eductated guess for what to do in response.
Can that assertion be defended? Sure. In fact I already did in my pin bar post. Unfortunately the answers I gave weren't to your liking because they don't fit your narrowly defined question.
If you would like to expand your question to "what value does price action have?" or "how can price action help you earn trading profits?" then I would gladly have a converstation with you.
Until then, however, I'm going to have to pass as I am not in the habit of pointlessly beating my head against walls.
