Oanda MT4 Datafeed errors?

What's wrong with the Oanda MT4-Practice Demoserver Datafeed on Strategy Tester? The EA got stopped out but the candle shadow hadn't even touched SL - 10 Pips.

Is this live demo or backtesting?

The bar data may be from a different source than the live ticks.

It is backtesting, but why is there so much inconsistency? A difference of 10 pips can't be explained. Candle wick wasn't anywhere near SL but order was closed.

I read about how interpolation in backtesting works, but that's for generating ticks within OHLC data. Obviously the ST won't generate ticks outside OHLC.

Can anyone explain what's happening here.

I'd put some print statements in the EA and record the timestamped bid/ask/open/high/low/close data in a file. Then I'd go through the data and find the smoking gun. It's pure drudgery but the most sure way to find out.

Just to add, it's Trade Simulator 2.0 by LFH. I also noted that, if I reduce playback to 26, then its filling order correctly sometimes. Otherwise, it fills at current market price + ~10 pips on buy side and -10 on sell side and closes many pips before reaching SL.

I opened the scripts and they are all good with OrderSend() set at Ask/Bid. I haven't been able to figure this one out all day long. Behaviour is same in Control Points/Tick Mode.

If you were backtesting during the weekend Oanda's mt4 uses their weekend spreads which is about 10 pips for e/u.

I think that's the reason but why is it concerned about current spread, since it's a simulator it has to pick data as provided for every tick by ST. IS there a reliable simulator that runs on Strat. Tester?

Okay, I think I solved it. Had to rewrite "Symbol.sel" file and run MT4 in Offline Mode. Now it works fine.
