I was just wondering if anyone knows of any brokers that support these small timeframes. I've been research on a certain scalping method that makes references to high-frequency trading but I'm having trouble finding brokers that feed data on such a level.

Oanda. Their original java based platform ( not MT4) has 5s 10s 30s 1min etc. Don't know if it's what your looking for, but you can try it on demo.

Thanks, I was looking at it when you replied. I'd setup a demo account with them a while back and forgot about it.

You can create any TF you want with MT4 (1 second, 9 seconds, 3 hours, etc). http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=261310

Can somebody recommend another broker, not Oanda, to trade small timeframes?

They are not accepting American clients anymore, but should very soon be offering their services (white label?) through FXDD and Alpari (US).

btw, are you referring specifically to charting, or to actually trading? If trading, discretionary or automatic?

For charting, many retail platforms offer tick charts - does that help?

You would probably need a professional (non-retail) platform/access/latency to scalp high-frequency. Certainly not MT4. Or, write something yourself and access the broker of your choice thru its API (many brokers now offer these tools).

Hi Purger,

FXCM has this feature on Strategy Trader. See image below:

If there's a period you want which is not listed, you can manually enter it in at the top right of the platform in the "Type a symbol/interval" field. For example, 176 seconds, etc.

They are not a broker, but actually an interface to many other brokers.
Their demo environment is free.

Yes, it's also available for a micro account. Just use the same username/password you use for FXTSII platform to login to Strategy Trader. One other thing, the platform does not support hedging. So if your account has hedging enabled, the hedging would have to be turned off through myfxcm.com first.
