I use this one which I had found here on the FF forums. No problems with 4 or 5 digit brokers.

PipRider.. changes have been made for you... it will now read broker correctly, adjusted stop digits, i also added color change function in user panel and adjusted the overall spacing so the new longer digits have some room to grow and not run into the next indicator...

I was looking for simple indicator that shows today's range. This is exactly what I'm looking for. Even better, it has average daily range which number of days we can set. We can also change fonts, size, corners, location, etc. Awesome. Thanks a lot buddy.

This is not the new idea,I allready seen this kind of indicator but I cant find him anywhere,so if somebody have this pleasse post it here or adapt some old (code) to look like this-its an indicator that shows daily range from 0-0-0 to 23-59-59 but with a gap of 1 hour on the place where tokyo and london overlaps.London opens in 10 and tokyo closes in 11 so the gap should be betwen 10 and 11 (all times are gmt+2).Also to hawe posibility to change box and gap colors thry input fields...and there you go,you are ready for london breakout :-).Boxes should plots for every day in the past until the current day,and top of the box will be HH for the day and bottom of box LL for that day.

I hope you all understand what I'm after because my english is maybe not so good,not natural language :-)

Hey twj, I know this thread's been around for a while but only just came across it in my quest to find a good ADR indicator and this one you changed is the one I like most. What I was wondering was is there any way I can make the changes to your indicator so as to show the detail in the top left of the main chart window like in the picture attached? I'm not a coder and although i've looked at the code to see if there's something that pops out at me.... it doesn't Hope you can help.

Hey Futurespec, thanks loads for doing that. Was just trying to get into the code myself but as I am not a coder at all it was all falling to pieces and I was getting errors galore when trying to recompile my attempts .

Can I be so bold as to ask for one more favour. You see, i'm trying to get the indicator to look similar to the picture in my previous post as its more pleasing to my eye and it doesn't have the 'Maximum Stop Loss' info etc. Is it a big job to change the code so that it reflects the picture. If it is please dont worry about it as this is brilliant what you've provided.

Had an horrible thought that you might ask that!! ;-))

Would have been easier to start from scratch I think. The code is not user friendly to change.

Say exactly what figures you want and if I get time (not now) I will have a look.

Hey Futurespec, sorry for the late reply on this. Having major problems with my yahoo mail as all emails are delayed by about 2 days so only got the forex factory subscription update yesterday!!!

Thanks so much for helping out here. Will give the indi you attached a play around and see if it helps which i'm sure it will. I found another indicator (Daily Range PeterE) that helps too so think i've got all the info I need for now rather than asking for your time to code me something. Appreciate the offer though If I could vouch I would.

Hi! I am also looking for a MT4 'range indicator'. What I hope it will do is display the 'Average Daily Range' on the top of the chart with 'Current Daily Range'. So that we will know how many Pips the pair could still possibly move. Anyone know where I could find this?

Hi,
THV guys have made a nice addon, a Day Candle, alongwith their pivot.
They problem with it is if I want the Day Candle, I have to use the pivot also. Its not open source, so I cannot change the way I want it to be.
Did anyone come accross just the Day Candle alone. If yes, please share.

I think it's possible that you're confused. "DailyRangeIndicator" is not the indicator that I commented on, and I'm not familiar with it.

Hence I can only guess, but it looks like "Daily Range indicator" takes the average of ATR(1), ATR(5), ATR(10) and ATR(20), i.e. where ATR is daily average true range. Then RoomUp is the distance above this average to today's high (thus far), and RoomDown is the distance below this average to today's low (thus far).
The values for 5, 10 and 20 can be changed using the parameter settings First_av, Second_av, Third_av.

However, to get the definitive answer -- along with how he intended the indicator to be used profitably -- you'd need to ask the programmer who coded it (according to the copyright notice, it's Ogeima at [email protected]).
