Hi everyone,

Do you happen to have an indicator with alert / email when a candle closes within x pips from the high or low.

The High/Low of what??

the daily, weekly, previous candle etc.

in addition what if the new candle makes a new high/low, should it also alert?

You need to be more specific.

Sorry for not being more specific. I am looking for identifying candles that close very near to its high or low as oppose to having long wicks.

So, whenever a new candle is fully complete, if it closed close to its high or low by x pips, indicator should send an audio alert and an email.

I am not comparing with previous hourly weekly candles, etc.,

Hi

this should do what you asked for.

it ignores doji candles (open=close), and doesn't care about the other wick (ie. bull candle only checks the upper wick, bear candle only checks the lower wick)

can send an alert, email or both

distance should be entered in Pips, it will automatically convert to points for 5/6 digit brokers

Hi futurespec,

I know this is going back a bit, but this indicator is exactly what I'm looking for. The only extra thing I need is the ability to only alert on a candle that is of a certain height, e.g. only on candles that are greater than 10 pips.

Is this something that you could do? I would be eternally grateful.

Hi all,

I have tried to code a Show Me alert for Tradestation that shows up when the close of the candle is within 5% of the high or low of the same candle. I thought I could modify the existing Doji "Show Me" but somehow I messed it up. The alert should ignore doji candles (open=close), and should not consider the other wick (ie. bull candle only checks the upper wick, bear candle only checks the lower wick. This indicator seems to exist in mq4 but I can't find it for Easy Language and cant seem to get it right.

If any of you have thoughts on how I could code this or have the code yourself I would really appreciate it.
