Playing with the trend is always the safest way to make steady profits from any market. No exception on aud/usd and here is a nice setup that occurred earlier this week.

Both the weekly trend and the daily trend was down before the market changed to up in less than 15m on Thursday. TP at average daily range @ 1.0552

Usindex seams to be holding atm above the 74.20 support area and has made 4 nice moves to the upside in the last 40 days, a break either way will determind my short term bias...

on weekly:

last touch of the kijun sen (blue) gave us 1300 pip up move.

but tenkan sen is resistance above (red).

daily closed above the cloud, which is an enter long signal.


but I wait for weekly close above tenkan sen. If tomorrows is a bearish engulfing, we see resistance work from weekly tenkan sen, if not: all in long.

AUD/USD @1.0715 had no follow through from 1.0750.

Now do we face a typical risk off friday ahead of Greek private sector vote which maybe tougher to pass than the first tranche?

Australia has a new left wing senate as from today.
Their joy is to tax and tax anything that moves.
The Australian political climate will be interesting here on in.

...There's 1 data from Aust due out in 20minutes... Prepare 1 bullet to short it just in case this data is bad... I hv done my short earlier.

This data can make 20-40 pips moves up and down.. the rest of the pips .... maybe shooting among us ..

1) AiG Performance of Mfg Index / 47.7 ---> 52.9

2) However .. there's Aust New Home Sales data hvn't got the figure... Previous was 0.2%

Techs now point to 1.0630-40 support zone..
You may find this could a be a slow grind as mkt I think is shortish but content as 1.0750-1.0800 has plenty of supply.

Im one of those shorts and looking to stagger sell on any upmove

My concern is still over Europe and possibly UK.
As they say "If you put lipstick on a PIIG(S) it's still a Pig."

Intraday bias remains on the upside for 1.0774 resistance first. Break will confirm that correction from 1.1011 has completed at 1.0390 already. In such case, further rise should be seen through 1.1011 resistance to 61.8% projection of 0.9703 to 1.1011 from 1.0390 at 1.1198 next.

On the downside, below 1.0647 minor support will turn bias neutral and bring consolidations. But retreat should be contained well above 1.0390 support and bring rise resumption.

... a 200-800 pips moves to the NORTH from that crossing but .... don't bother.... that's just me and my dreams ...
