But I wonder if you checked both the standard pivots and the Fib pivots. Fib pivot R1 is 1.4334 on my M5 chart.

My entry was after a failed M4 of the Fib pivot line.

Of course, you are Using Camarilla pivots, as I recall.

I think thats what im gonna start looking into. About how many trades do you make in a week?
Ignored
Haven't been trading this system long enough to answer that yet. I just found this a couple weeks ago and spent the first week reading the thread and made a few wrong trades last week, modified the indicator, studied the charts and just this week decided to try the H4 for a week or 2 to see how that works. Even this week I made a few trades that I shouldn't have by trying to tweak a system I'm not proficient with yet (just like a newbie), so I'm slapping myself and trying to stick to the rules. I'm looking at the D1 for trend direction checking the last significant ZZ Semafore 3 and then waiting (and more waiting sometimes) for a Red or Green Freebie Histo bar with the trend and check for pivot rejection. I'll start posting my results as I make proper system trades. Also I have 3 different brokers with different GMT offsets so I have to decide which one works the best.

I'm newbie in this system too, but I'm sure, that it isn't all the same WHICH zz semafor indicator you are using in WHICH broker! That means some semafore indi isn't working CORRECTLY for example with Tadawul FX, but that same indi is perfectly well with Admiral Markets... I have to search a lot semafore indi, and god bless i fund the perfect indi for Tadawul!

I hope, I could help you!

Because of work, I only get to play the Aus/Asian market and im not getting much action. Im just curious if anyone is having any luck with those markets, if so what pairs. Might need to just try a higher time frame.

Those 2 markets are VERY SMALL...If you are not getting the trades you want and can not day trade the London & US Markets...SWITCH to a higher TF...you will make the same returns but it will just take longer.

What i mean by switch pivots....if the pair moved a huge X number of pips the day before todays pivots are going to be far apart....so you want to switch to Fib Pivots so you can get your levels closer and have better trade setups. Attached is the EurUsd H1 with both kinds of pivots. As you can see with standard pivots they were kinda far apart. If you would have used fib pivots today it would have gave you closer pivots to use as S&R levels.

It's really very simple to eliminate even looking at the number of pips moved the day before to decide which pivots to put on---just look at BOTH the standard pivots and the Fib pivots and see which set looks better as the trading day progresses.

No X.
No Y.
No Z.
No math.
No thinking--just viewing. LOL

How bout this for a wild idea: I could set the indicator to switch between regular pivots and fib pivots every second or 2 like Christmas tree lights? Or maybe every new tick of data!!? Yeah, we would be so hypnotized by the flashing lights we would forget to trade!

Ok, Just for pure amusement, I did code the "Flashing Lights" Pivots. If you want some cheap entertainment, or maybe you can get some value from this, here is my AutoSwitchingPivots! If you leave the default, it will change with every tick. If you choose the UseFourDigitTicks it will only change like a 4 digit broker if you have a 5 digit broker. If you also choose the UseTwoTicks option, it will only switch every 2 ticks (which is really useless if you're not using the 4 digit option).

Slow day in pipsville? LOL

I trade just 1 pair, so it is simple enough for me to put 2 charts side-by-side, one with standard pivots and the other with Fib pivots. But thanks for the "flashing lights". Now we have something with which to pass the time on slow days besides watching paint dry, grass grow, etc.

(OK, file attchemnts working today.)
Thanks again, Dreddings, for contributing your freebie system.

The chart on the left is with standard pivots. The chart on the right is with Fib pivots.

Using Fib pivots, bought EURUSD H1 bounce off Pivot. TP was at R:R 1:1, which happened to coincide with M4.

Monitored the M15 and when a retracement showed on the 6:00 bar, moved up stop loss to below its low. I considered adding another contract based on this M15 chart, because that retracement bar rejected M3. That would have made another good buy with TP 1:1 that coincided with R1.

I'll have to consider going with the H1 chart more often. Was only in the trade for 2 hours, and that was 2 hours that I didn't need to be at the computer.
