Hi steve, I was having a similar experience as you last week trading Kev's 5 min strategy, but got fed up with the 60 min and 240 min stoch indicator....So I whipped the bugger off and put on the stock standard MT4 stochistic 5;3;3. smoothed.... it certainly made a big difference to my efforts and only ended up peanuts down for the week $38.....I am looking forward to giving it a bit of a thrashing this week, and will stick with it untill the fan belt breaks...( it usually does).

I turned Kevinator on for the first time this morning and has been trading beautifully all day...

15 trades taken, all profits except for a recent MOM trade that went in the hole for 100+ pips.

Happy to see it trading though

Hi fxozgirl, that was awesome on a ranging day with 15 trades in profit, however, what was your stop loss on the losing trade? was that 100 pips or 100 points? would you be kind to share your set files?

best regards,
traderjane

Hi Traderjane,

yes it was great, however it was definitely pips (not points) but just realised it was trading 0.2 lots not 0.1 (so only 50 pips down)

since I last posted another 6 trades have opened & closed, with 1 more loss. another 18 pips. So now over 20 trades, 18 profit, 2 loss, but the loss have well and truly wiped out my profits.

As I only really started looking at Kevinator over the weekend, everything is ootb while I tried trading the manual method.

I think I will need to review which stop loss function I use, as a lot of the trades are closed for 20 or 30 cents. All 3 stop loss functions are set to true, and not really sure what OnlyCopinProfit does. Possibly a hard stop loss could be the way to go, but I am content to just watch it for another day or so before I decide.

You will like the latest updates to the Stochastic inputs. Let me know if you want these extending to the M60 method.
