Great info adal. I'm interested with their Web API ( http://www.truefx.com/?page=download&description=api ). Using wininet, it should not be difficult to implement it in mql.

To do what with it inside MQL? I don't think you can replace the broker candles.

You could use it to double-check quotes in an EA, so that you can avoid trading on spikes. Did you have something like this in mind?

Those are the spreads on the Integral ECN. You would have to pay a commission on top of that.

I have created a desktop widget which shows realtime Forex rates from http://www.truefx.com. It is not configurable at the moment. What you see in the picture is all what you get.

Is anybody interested in such a thing (for free)? It's not yet production quality, as I need to find an icon for the gadget, but I could pull myself to finish this if other people are interested.

Hi Adal,

Thank you for the post. I would definitely be interested in a tool like this. The thing I have been doing research for recently is a MetaTrader 4 widget for the windows desktop. Ideally it would take whatever you have selected for currencies to display bid/ask spreads in your trade screen and also display your active positions (maybe positions on deck for getting triggered) in real-time. This way they would be showing you what's going on on the desktop whether the MT4 is minimized or center screen. The benefit of this is that the bid/ask spreads would reflect what you will get through your broker and help you from watching your trades like a hawk when you have to stick around your computer.

What do you think?

I've attached a very rough display of it (without any formatting), but it should show the idea.

Sounds interesting, but I won't be able to help you since I don't use MetaTrader.

Adal, thank you very much for this widget, is a very nice idea to have such a gadget in the DEsktop and not haveing to be maximizing a browser window or the trader software every time.

A question arises, is there any way to customize the gadget ? I would like to be able to monitor NZD/USD, silver and gold, and it seems the gadget is stuck to the currencies set by default.

Again, thanks for your effort.

Regards,
Daniel

Sorry, these are the only pairs available from TrueFX.

You might want to try the Oanda desktop widget: http://fxlabs.oanda.com/cgi/fxlabs.p...detickerwidget
