to add additional lines up/down you can write a function that will draw horizontal lines...... it will not use buffers so it will have no limits to the number of lines.........h

Well, there you go. Adding that to what Kenz987 provided, I have got what I was looking for.

I just found this old thread as I was looking for a specialized "grid" indicator (of sorts)...

Here is the goal: to have a *dynamic-adjusting grid* of horizontal / verticle lines that will respond to the volitility (tick?) pip activity in the market, and by user adjustable volume...like 5 or 10 etc. and this will show at the far right edge of the chart) AND over a given (adjustable) time (minutes... and even seconds?), and this will be shown at the lower edge of the chart (like each 30 seconds, minute, 5 minutes, or what you want).

And this "grid is to show true market momentum dynamically in a way that where the "boxes" or cells are square or narrow, it shows *little* activity going on; where the boxes are wider / flatter rectangles, it shows *greater* activity occuring at this (selected) time period.

This kind of "grid" will immediately (and in history) show us where the activity presents lesser, "stay out" movement, and where there is (perhaps) more action/activity going on, to inform us it is a time worthy of consideration (along with our other filters) to, for instance, enter a trade (and I am selfishly referring to very short-timeframe scalping techniques, but the usefulness goes much further).

Any chance the value of such an indicator is wort developing for MT4 / MT5? Or that (wow!) there is such a thing already available?!

The indicators aMarkHorizontals aren't working when I apply them to my chart. No matter what I do, they won't appear. I see this thread is old. Maybe an update to MT4 prevent these from working now?
bump on this one! the indicators above keep crashing my mt4 build 409!
Hi I am looking for an indicator that will show grid or round number only on the right side of the chart.

To get more just place a second copy of the indicator on the chart. ps: Skill - well I have spent my entire working career on computers. Sleep - yep, that would be good. HI guys I am looking to draw lines every 30 pips from a certain time line automatically every day... so not round nembers etc... for example... i want to say set it for 6am UK time and then the indicator will draw lines 3 levels up and 3 levels down from what ever the price is at 6am evry 30 pips. I know nothing about indicators or how easy this is to code or indeed if there is already something like this out there any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you
