Hi fti, you have touched on my greatest fear. As a trader, how do you prevent the big crash where your ego gets in the way of the skills and techniques that helped you achieve success? For me, I work, re-work, and check what I am doing every day, constantly going over it again and again to make sure what I do is working. I make little adjustments from time to time, and try to keep my head in the market and with PA. In addition, I participate in this thread, where I get a heavy dose of trader talk, rather than trading talk. You have helped greatly, and continue to do so.

for me, fti teachings are at the core of my trading, but i also, see adapt whatever is useful or better suits me.

i dont want to trade like fti, i want to trade like me

and that is the self discovery path im on, of course fti is the master and from him i learn

Hi Niels,

Interesting that you feel we are not on same line, because fti's teachings are quite clear here. In the past, I've often re-posted some of his more important messages that people should reread and take careful note on, and I also posted some of my ride-along sessions to give everyone an even better understanding that shows much details when people were confused.

Not sure how much more I can discuss without just repeating same things

Sorry you read my post as angry, but it was in fact, NOT that of anger at all. Also, please reread what I wrote to imjscn, cuz I clearly stated that I was not accusing anybody, just "reminding" and making sure everyone who "might" be doing this, keeps it in their conscience to rethink doing so, especially for their own sake (when we are not completely honest, the person we hurt the most is ourselves, cuz it's the "denial" that gets in the way of us making changes in our life/relationships/trading/etc. for the better).

Quite frankly, some of my message was also meant for Fredde. If he searches his heart and conscience, he knows very well that his wife, Karen, did not go insane, even if her brother's death was much tragedy for her, that would not warrant her wanting a divorce (she stated her reasons for the divorce). Karen is not here to defend herself or give her side of the story, and I feel using the word "insane" was a little unfair to her, but I know fti might already sense the true reason why (reread Post #20610).

Yes, I feel Karen was scared for the financials, fti's health, and the welfare of her family. I saw the signs years ago, and warned him about the recklessness and neglect and what could happen. I feel he can make things right again, if he first acknowledge his part in the responsibility and not only blame Karen for the damage to the family. But first, he needs to get his health back in order to do so.

As far as my mentioning about Seniors who are not trading fti's style, yet contribute here as if they do ... you may have been very upfront about that all along, as well as a couple others, but my post was mainly to express and warn that ... every time fti sees Seniors deviating from his teachings, he gets upset and frustrated.

It is clearly seen in his post to MaMood --> Post #25796 (stating he has "already becoming so many here, i not have any more energy for this")

And remember this one about "I guess it is impossible to train old dogs. Now I am convinced. No more casting pearls to pigs."? --> Post #5683 . Many thought he was upset with the "pattern" talk, but I knew he saw a Senior's chart with all the "lines," thus feeling that ALL his energy and time here has been wasted if Seniors are still not heeding his teachings.

There are other instances, but I think that is all that's needed for everyone to get the point.

Unfortunately, whenever I post here, I cannot help but go into "mother and sister" mode, lol, so many times when I say something, it is many times trying to warn people here, so as not to get fti upset otherwise you will keep having him threaten to leave this thread (which quite frankly, I wish he would ... at least until he gets his health back).

Most of you probably do not see/read into his words the way I do (maybe a lot of you actually do, but you just do not say). Please know, I have come to know fti very well through our chats, I know his ways, I know his temperament, I know the goodness of his heart (which all here do also), and I also know his scorpions. I also read into his situations very well, as he gives away much in what he says/writes. His messages are most times quite clear to me with what he is trying to convey. It would be to others, too, if you just look closely enough (again, maybe many already do).

As a "sister" I feel I have to scold him when I see him going into "self-destruct" mode, mainly for his own good (he already lost much, not only health-wise, but in regards to his family).

And somehow I go into "mother" mode to all others here who do not realize all this about him, because not only is it for your own welfare if you want to have fti keep posting here with you, but for his own welfare in not always getting upset and frustrated when he feels Seniors are not heeding the important aspects of his teachings.

Although at times he will say he is "okay" with it and just take from his teachings what you will, but if he really meant that, he would not get upset every time he sees Seniors deviating, no?

Anyway, maybe if Seniors also reread this thread, you may start seeing some of what I am saying more clearly after I have now brought more of this into your awareness.

I think we can all agree that the foremost important thing that needs to happen here is for fti to regain his health back, and after doing so, he can make an attempt to try and get his family back.

I have said plenty here already, whether fti and others take it to heart is up to each. It seems I always cause disruption, haha , thus it best that I not engage too much here, and besides, I have other business and personal needs to attend to and cannot spend the time that I used to.

Again, I wish ALL here be well and please learn from all this ... and I'm not talking only about the trading lessons, but about keeping financials, health and family --> safe and in balance.

I'm sorry that you feel annoyed with seeing blotters, but in my opinion, the blotters teach and convey more than even words can sometimes say.

And I commend MaMood for not only showing his blotter, but also doing trade-rides, because that is truly teaching and showing true his words at its finest, and also, it is very brave, lol (no one can say MaMood is only showing his good trades, when he is dancing in real-time).

Showing blotter is everyone's option, my opinion is that, you can show only enough of it that it is not infringing anybody's privacy or whatever other excuses people give. And for those who say blotters can be easily Photoshopped, etc. ... well, I feel that most people are very honest and have much integrity, thus do not need to deceive. Most can get glimpse of someone's integrity by how they post most of the time.

However, yes, there may be a few who may do these things, that is on their own conscience, and normally anyone who continues to deceive eventually gets called out for it through slipping-up or the truth of their nature eventually coming out to show itself.

Most people are not blind to these things, most can read into people's "hearts" and "intentions." Some people start out with very good intentions, and unfortunately through finding themselves in trouble that they can't get out of, they end up doing bad things. These people I feel sad for, because they many times have good hearts, but just by bad circumstances, they end up not doing the right and decent thing.

I feel you could become a very good trader, redlion. I do like some of what you have said in some of your posts, and when you find the right feel and tempo for yourself, I'm sure you will strive to do well.

The only thing I was concerned about for you is that you are wanting to put such high expectations on yourself, that I was worried that it may sabotage you and your mindset. Thus, I said there is no need to be the "BEST." It is more important to just strive to be successful at being consistently profitable.

This is not a competition with anybody else, it's not even a competition with the market. In fact, if you get anything out of this thread, one especially important aspect is --> to flow WITH the market.

In essence, that is actually NOT a battle with the market although yes, AOW is key factor in this thread, but maybe the battle is with ourselves --> our scorpions, because we should really be in an alignment (ally) with this much stronger force called "the Market," because it is far superior than any of us who are not the Market Makers, no?

This is why most flow with the trend, cuz the trend is Market's superior force. Not to say that you can't grab pips going against it, but it's normally far safer and much more pip grabbing for most, to go with it.

sorry to interrupt, but suddenly the idea of flow hit me. I kind of feel a bit stupid now...too much analysis.

It's just this: find a good opening and get in. Manage as price goes on based on how price is behaving. I find that I occasionally trade against the trend, but I'm careful that when I see big impulse I re-align quickly.

My biggest problems are here: I had "scalping" mentality. But I finally got into my head that scalping is dangerous. So now I enter battlefields only when nice juicy pattern forms instead of squeezing blood from stone. If the girl does not want to dance, I can't force her. Wait patiently for her to lead. After all, once I take the trade I am in in battlefield. No point in being there without good conditions.

Also, I did over analysis (s/r ect) Now I stick to 5 or 15min only... s/r is not really helpful anymore. It's more patterns based, recognizing it when it comes up and then following it with a trade/continued management. Hardly do I ever pull up a 4 hr or daily chart anymore than once a day to establish trend.

Also, while the monk story has managed to stick in my head. I've found it's very important because of human bias. Once we make a trade, if we stay on the idea too long without continued analysis of your current situation, you will be burdened by bias.

A big waring to beginners. Definitely start with 1,1,1 first. Learning the rescue MO before the dance will set you back quite a bit. Reason being, that you start believing that rescues negate having bad dance.

Now I am back in Greensboro an looking the formation of silly double top.
I found that my tomatoos grew a lot.
I think that I should leave them alone
by going on vacation more often.

Well, I hope you stick around or at least increase your participation. We are all very concerned about fti's health, and I would want him to take an extended holiday away from the thread if that will help him regain his health.

I am uncomfortable with your comments on his personal life. There are ways to share personal information with people, but this is probably not the place for it. Especially, if that information is based on opinions and assumptions. I wish those things had not been said.

As for sharing blotter information, I still think it is silly. I believe MaMood and others when they tell me about their trading/trades, and do not care about their blotters. I know MaMood (God bless him) has a good reason for sharing this information. It's just something that I am not interested in seeing or sharing.

Leigh, one thing you have done this weekend is gotten me to particpate more than usual. This is more typing than I've done in a very long time -- LOL.

Hey, I hope you are liking Greensboro. Take a pic of your tomatos and post them so we can judge you by your farming gardening abilities -- LOL. That seems kind of early for tomatos but I live in Illinois and our growing season is probably behind yours. Enjoy them!

My heart also went out very much to Karen, and being called "insane" without her being able to defend herself, did not sit well with me. fti spoke very highly of Karen, many, many times. I feel she is a good and decent person, thus I felt a need to address this, as well. My opinions about it, is what is already apparent in the post he made. I know fti knows in his heart, that this is so.

There have been many lessons about personal life here, some of what I am posting is also for fti to take to heart, if he does not let his ego get in his way, and instead listen and take to heart some honest feedback, he might very well possibly get his health, life and family back.

Also, I post this openly, in the hopes that others may be spared from going down the same dark road.

*EDIT ... With all my friends/family, I feel that if I cannot talk honestly, then I am not thinking about their welfare but more my own (not wanting to cause waves). And to do so for me (not give my honest feedback), is not my nature. I talk honestly with those who I care about their success and welfare.

I had gave some information about what happening in my life, in hope that friends may understand my status.
BUT my family is my own business.
So please be so kind as not to comment about things that is beyond others capacity to understanding. One thing i always try to tell people is not to crystal ball or judge with bias because what they see may not be whats happening. At best , judgement of markets may affect your exposure, judgement of my family matter is mine, and final judgement is God's. So please keep at your side of the fence on my personal matters. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. People tend make errs because of what they know,but , its not what they know that creates the misjudgement, is what they not know.

Tis' good to see you taking proactive actions regarding your health, one avenue you may find helpful is the approach taken after Dr. Linus Pauling's research. Google his name.

Basically, most coronary heart disease is brought about by vitamin and mineral deficiencies, Vitamin "C" and Lysine are used in the production of collagen and are necessary to keep your arteries pliable, plaque build up is actually your bodies defense mechanism to combat the symptoms of the deficiency, in an effort to protect the vein wall from tearing.

Large doses of vitamin c ( which have no adverse reactions), along with the proper mineral intake have proven scientifically to reverse heart disease. In fact intravenous doses of "C" have been proven to reverse most cancers. Good luck getting a doctor to prescribe the IV for that reason.

As my response to your private message-- fti is dying, there are great interests among many to take over the thread. I don't have bias to any. Whoever success is fine as long as the thread continue in good health.

Now I see you are not healthy and it's becoming worse.

How much you know about fti's personal life? You put yourself on a bad position . Initially, the scout was in good shape-- PADMA.

I've been under fti's training for nearly 2 years. We've been online with his family activity around--on the days when Karen in usual status, on the day when Karen's bro jumping out of window, on the days when Karen in depression, on the day when Karen exploding... I'm not going to comment on Karen, because I don't know her. I only knows what she said, what she did, and it's her personal life, not yours or mine.

But I want to ask you, Leighsww, what makes you think you know it all?
You try your luck, shooting in darkness in hope to hit the target, right? Reckness!

We come here for fti's teaching, if he leave us and the thread go with your "variations", you think we'll be wasting time with you? Wrong feeling of the flow!

Who on this thread doesn't know rescue is a high risky game? We are not newbies, come here for a tip on how much to risk. Instead, many on this thread are professionals, they know more than you and me, and they learn from fti on how to manage and control risk-- it's far beyond a speadsheet. Your analysis on people's needs is wrong.

Even you know how to make money without risk, you should not start by attacking other's personal life which has nothing to do with you. Wrong strategy!

my phealth problem is due to that i carry the gene.
My father died of 4 chamber clogged.
also because of my burning my candle both ends all my life.
And because i am male.
