it wasn't a large position, in fact was one of the smallest...10.000=1mini lot. they split in 8000 and 2000 and the rest is confused i almost had a verbal fight with the customer service guy...and by the way i forgot for a while i didn't had anything in my position window to at least know what happened and i though that the end of my trade just to find later i still have 2000 in sell

i just saw the last part i wrote doesn't make to much sense, i'm into a webinar too and takes my concentration...i meant to say i didn't have a open trade in position window for a while

Under preferences on your FX Board make sure the Show Positions box is checked.

Under preferences I always have the Positions thing open (different than above ). And there are many different options on what you can choose to display or not to display. Between those two you should always know exactly where you stand.

Sorry to hear about what happened.

k, i knew about this thread and i want to see if anybody else is experiencing the same problem like me...in fact i thought i have problems with my desktop pro platform because i had allot of canceled and replaced TTO orders and when the one leg of the order was hit nothing happend or it was hi but to see later i still have a partial position open. they split my position and they closed just a part leaving the other part open. what the heck is this? if i want to close partially my position i will do it i don't think is fare to decide that for me...

i want to update my statement, i recall now i did canceled something which in fact was the TTO for one of split position because i thought is another error of the platform and i didn't recall it before because i had no idea they practice the execution in multiple pieces so basically i didn't canceled the tto for 2000 knowing i'm doing that...
so mainly is my fault but i don't agree with their policy and i think i should have been better informed. but i'm relieved now a bit, anyway they are not as i thought for a previous problem i supposed to get a credit at the beginning on this month which i didn't and i had some previous issues unsolved. by the way for limit orders i'm not supposed to see the credit i got in account balances window? i never see a credit just commission.

Look at the Gross Commission line.

$10.00= you have paid $10.00 in commissions.

( $10.00 )= you have been paid $10.00 in commissions. $20 difference.

Also when you look at your account on their website hit the:

Trade Activity>Reports>Cash Activity. Pick the date.It will be right there in the Commission Add Liq line

Ummmm, you are trading on an ECN. Of course you can get partial fills.

Limits get credited immediately for me. You might want to take a few more of their courses.

Not that I really need it, but is there an analog of web based TRADE ACTIVITY in Desktop Pro?

Also is it possible to see yesterday's orders (or last N days for that matter) in Desktop Pro's "Orderbook" ? Looks like it reports only what happened today.

I had a question, does everyone like mbt's platform? I find it confusing and very technical. Is it possible for me to use a different platform to trade this account?

I have both an MT4 and Desktop account with them, although I rarely use the MT4 account as I have learned to hate MT4 more and more over time. I do quite like the Desktop Pro platform. It has some charting hiccups, but what really matters to me is the Order Entry pod as that's what I need. It has so many customizable options to make it what I need (only wish is that they had a nice 1-click speed trading window). The order types are outstanding.

Having said that, you can also trade with them with Third Party packages like Ninja and MultiCharts if you find you like those better. I would suggest you take some time and take their various webinar courses on the platform. The guy over there does a great job between the beginning and advanced course of showing you how it all works. I agree that it is a highly technical platform, but as I got more into trading, I saw the benefits and why they made most of it the way that they do.

Give yourself some time to get used with Desktop/Pro and soon you will use MT4 only for charting :-) although MBT charts give more feel of the "naked" chart than MT4. Hard to explain, just MT4 can't make you "feel" the flow. Anyway, that's personal.

This is more appropriate question for a thread about the subject. You are on an MB Trading thread.
