I know darkstar trades the news very heavily and I believe some of you do also. I was wondering if someone could push me in the right directions. I've been doing some scalps off the news lately and have been pretty good at it then today. I watched the EU in a matter of 15 seconds down 70 pips, up around 90 and then over the next 1.5 minutes go down 65 pips.

Before that last move I was playing it off of S/R getting 10-15 pips on each trade. then BAMM, that. My question is how can I read a market to know in 10 seconds it's going to make a move like that? The disappointing thing is that I had my limit order in place to take the second whort almost at the top but it just ran right over it.

Also, in the same time frame the EU is about 100 pip ran and the GU is only 40. is there a reasoning for that big of a difference?

I can see how they are hitting S/R points but is there a way to know what people are looking for?

then, how can you get the orders in quick enough on days like today?

Also we are hearing of a "US investment house" on the offer, and they were also the ones you drove it down from around 4665/70 last night on weak german data if I recall correctly... interesting...

For someone who targets 120-250 pip swings i think its a great buying opportunity. Just have to make sure dont get stopped out before it takes off.

eventually yes.... 4450? or is this sucker goin' down the mid 43's maybe... guess we'll see how greece plays out.... or should I say peripheral debt region...

Well actually its more than 500 pips away from 1.5.

Yeah i am buying on 450 but i suspect i'd might get stopped out, if that happens than i'd fade that move by taking low-TF PA below 450.

If that fails, i will go back to finish "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood" and come back next week.

1.45 is a big number but i think they might go for the NFP stops... though most the trailing stops im sure are done..

Looks like those orders were still in place that move couldn't push past the offers waiting there earlier reported on FXlive.

1.4650 would have been an awsome place for an entry with 1 pip DD and over a 150 pips profit.

When you start to look at the Order flow information and how price responds to these levels a lot of ideas start to come up in how these could be traded,

indeed James... I noticed... good stuff, then you get stops and system sellers to move it for you. I must admit, I was a bit too pussy to take that though lol but i wanted to

If I understand IFR correctly BIS= Bank of International settlements.

The one that gets me is system sellers who exactly does this refer too?

If I can gather an idea of who is behind the trades then I know what kind of a line they swing and who might be out to get them.

I think the BIS (bank of international settlements) sales were the ACB that bought down around 4570-80 yesterday, the same ones's defending the barrier? who were all of a sudden no longer there? I don't know for sure but thats what I would guess. Out to get the barrier, from what was rumored, was a French bank and some other players, specs, etc... from what I gathered.

I personally don't think you even need to know any of that to make money today though.

More selling in EUR/USD, and this time through 1.4500, helped on by the triggering of stops below 1.4520-25. 1.4510 was also a trigger level, but there seems to be no stopping the sell off, but with the market all 'the same way' into the press conference, it was going to take something significantly more to drive the single unit any higher. Leveraged, momentum and algorithm accounts were out in force selling, and the use of 'accommodative' in his speech may well have been a trigger sell for some of these system sellers. 1.4475 the low so far, with the last round of losses aided by Trichet's call for the US to reiterate their strong USD policy with 'some force'

Took the 5min Pin bar @ 450, so i am in with a 13 pip SL.

So BIS sold at 640 and now they are heard buying below 480.

When they sold at 640 stops were reported below 450, Now interestingly they are buying near 450 and trailing stops are reported at 580.

Also some buy stops at 520 and 550.
