Dislikedsrmfx, I was thinking about monitoring AUD/USD with purpose to filter out trades on EUR/USD since these two pairs are very correlated. What do you think about this attempt?Ignored
DislikedNo they are very active in aud/usd and eur/usd as they diversify the dollars they buy from intervening in there currencies against the dollar.
I am not sure what you mean by the market changed, what have I missed?Ignored
DislikedThey are active in EURUSD but theirs share of the market is much smaller than in AUDUSD and NZDUSD.
The forex market had daily volume 1.3-5 trln. about 10 years ago. Now it is 4 trln. per day. A lot of new big market players entered the market. This is just the big picture. I can tell you much more, but this is a whole different topic.Ignored
DislikedTheir share of the market? whatever. What has changed in the last 4 months? Because there are more players/more volume doesn't mean anything changed much, it's just more volume, same game... same liquidity issue's considering now there is just more competing for it, same structure...
whatever, continue with your thread, i'm not going to argue about it.Ignored
DislikedThis is not just a few more bucks in the market. New players have new rules. I'm trading forex for 12 years and I can tell you that the market is always changing. This is my opinion.Ignored

DislikedNew players have new rules? sorry man, makes no sense. The rules are the rules unless they change, as far as I'm aware they haven't except for leverage rules and regulations, but that hasn't change on an institutional level.
Your opinion is just that, an opinion, though i have no idea what makes you come to that conclusion, but it's not fact. If anyone can prove this, please do.Ignored
DislikedWhat exactly doesn't make sense for you? Do you think that all the market players are equal? Are you sure that if a big elephant enters your house nothing will change? I don't think so. I can explain exactly what I mean but it is impossible with a few posts. Actually I've done this in my last book.Ignored
Dislikeddid I say all market players are equal? I know the structure and the players, and nothing has changed in that except for more players and a bigger retail base, and technology. I'm asking what changed and you're giving opinions that are based on what? You telling me and everyone else you've been trading for 12 years and you wrote a book doesn't make a difference at all. I'm asking for proof in what you're talking about cause it seems like you don't know or, at least, have a very bad way of explaining it.
whatever I no longer care to waste my time...Ignored
DislikedThere was another good example of a trade i made this morning using misplacement .although on a scalping level.
i like to trade the open of the ftse100,normally to fill overnight gaps.from 7 to 8 am london time, often 8 am open clears these prices within the first 15 minutes.today the ftse was showing negative in comparison to wall street, dax, ect ,wallstreet showing plus 60.ftse would normally had fallen to clear at 42 level, which would be my normal trade, but because of the displacement from the strong bias to conform i went long .30 pips very...Ignored
DislikedI base my opinion on my experience. I told you that this topic can't be explained with a few posts. Are you trading the same strategy without any change of the rules for the last 10 years? I don't.Ignored
Dislikedmy opinions are based on research and facts about the market. I was asking you for proof on where you're getting this from not for you to type out another book to me on what your experience tells you.
my strategy won't change no... if i was trading like you, it would change rather quickly to a different one.Ignored
DislikedWe live in a free world. I have opinion and I express it in this forum. If you like it, you can read it. If you don't, just skip it.Ignored
Dislikedok that's fine, I was just correcting your opinion for others on the forum who are less in the know, who might go around believing everything they read from self proclaimed pro's. though they should all do there own research.Ignored
DislikedThat is absolutely right. I'm not a guru and I'm not here to find followers for my cult. I also don't like such threads. I'm just sharing my opinion based on my trading experience. The market is always changing and that is why everybody has to do its homework. You can give you examples for failed gurus but I don't think its fair.Ignored
