the aud/usd is giving a long set up since Friday. As the close on the weekly was bullish, u know this week will be plenty of long pips to grab. The thing is just to wait for a nice retracement and go long after the signal is given....
Dollar will be totally beaten this week...all major currencies and gold are showing strength against the greenback. so, we know the odds are in our favor....

Aud/usd This pair is on uptrend, retracement and good support is at 1.0650/60 break and base below is to 1.0610/20 while high might target 1.0840/50

i think the aud/usd will start its retracement soon for nice profit later..while waiting for the retrace to complete, i took nice (=126 pips on gbp/yen, and up 100 pips on eur/yen)

Hey guys,,,,,

I went in long @ 1.0654 for the following reasons, with sl 1.0625 might lower it to.0605

THIS IS WHAT I SEE


1) On the H4 time frame the pair is oversold (stochastics)... and it has made 2 nice doji candles (which have worked well on h4 in the recent past of the pair pins/dojis)....

2) On the H1 time frame the 100 simple ma (green) is keeping the pair above it,, and the 200 (pinkish) and 100 smooth (red) ma are acting as support...

3) 1.0640/50 has been kinda supp/res (if you see recent (2 week) history of the pair, even though not very strong.

The things that might go wrong are ;,,, the daily chart does not look good, as it is overbouht and looks like it´s gonna end like a pin (to the downside)......on the h1 the stochs is going up slowly,, while the price not that much,, so might be forming a bearish flag in about 3-4 hours but after price reaches 1.0680/90- 1.07 and i will move sl to be,, if I´m awake...
the last and most IMPORTANT there is important Aussie GDP news @ 3:30 cet which might ruin the plan if it comes out worse then expected...

So This is my plan and trade from what i see.... no lots of bullsh*** lines and all the other crap like gartley and fartley....

Hi fellas, I am a new forex player with relatively minimum experience.

I am glad to see a retracement however i missed the opportunity as I got knocked out by a golf session yesterday.

Since I have missed the opportunity, I am looking to short at 0770/80 and tp @ 0700 with sl @ 0800

Do comments on my trades and thanks.

hello there

why do you think of shorting there with that sl and tp??? Trades should be taken on charts and analysis like the one above I posted last night,, and did pocket some 95 pips....not bragging just saying that you should explain your trades and the reasons behind them 2 urself first of all..

Hi there thanks for replying. i mainly trade with simple support, resistance and trendlines. The double top left me with a confused state of shorting or longing, which i eventually went on with shorting since 0750 is a resistance to me. however i have already tp with 25 pips and it was a close shave since it shot back up. I started reading forex factory only recently and am still trying to catch up with the charts posted by professionals like you guys and am really thankful with the insights you all have shared.

Back to trade, i could not identify any trend at all but with the support at 0710, im going for side way trading with resistance at 0750 with sl at slightly below/above support/resistance.

p.s. i am exposed to pure Forex trading only a week ago and my charting skills have been decaying for 2 years before brushing them again last week and thus tons of room for improvements.

didnt realize 7050 is such a strong resistance, I see support at daily r1 of 7036. its tight, so one way or another, its gonna give, bullish for me tho

what happenned on the aud/usd today is the top characteristic of this volatile forex market. the set up was clearly long. i even post my signals about it. But the market went down till the bottom testing the low, and reverse back up to be going up next week.

so i went from -60 to -70 pips to up +40 pips...
psychology and tremendous inner efforts is the true trading grail.
i'm up +40 pips and +69 pips on both my entries (daily and 4 hr) on my aud/usd trades...i'm having a great beer right now..

Does anyone see a falling wedge on daily audusd? according to it I went long, because it has been activated 3 days ago and the upper band of the wedge has just been retested. I am looking for a week of price action till my TP is reached. it is in around 500 pips from here. Does anyone share the same view?

yep. seems to be testing the congestion at 1.0750/70 area. lets see if that breaks.
