DislikedHi magft. I was testing the V1.10 Edd ea and noticed a problem.
When the number of open trades reaches the limit set by the parameter, the display of the upl locks up and it appears the whole ea locks up.Ignored
DislikedThe first two rules i learned in forex was: 1. never go against the trend 2. never add positions to a losing trade.
This baby does both as well it causes the MT4 to crash. I could wait for the price to return but I don't think I will have any account left by then...Ignored
DislikedHi Caillou, i want to test something out and if it works i will publish it here.
To do this i need som help with your code - simply i would like to set
a stoploss x pips (variable SL+) below the low (Buying) or Hi (Selling) based on the first trade candle of a basket.
EG
1st Trade initiated - Buy (low of this candle is say 1.4503, variable SL+ 3)
so SL would be 14500
if SL hit all trades of that basket are clossed
hope you can help - have an idea might work
thanksIgnored
DislikedCaillou.
Which version are you actually using, as I am confused about the many ones posted meanwhile.Ignored
DislikedHi,
I´m really sorry but I´m not a coder, that´s why I ask Steve for coding this idea.
Anyway your suggestion could work, what I´m sure is that a system which never takes a loss, will always fail, sooner or later, no matter which timeframe, no matter which pair, because if the market can make a movement for that to happen, the market will do it, ALWAYS.....
Just my opinion

DislikedOK, you're right Daily TF are terrific results but as regarding my 4 years experience in forex, I'll never trader again whitout stop, I ask to somebody to put an stop on V1.05 on the previous Daily Hight or Low bar. As the % of winning trade is 93 %, I think it can decrease significatly the DD wihtout decrease much profit and will secure the trades.

DislikedSteve Hopwood,
Thanks for the Robot.
On the Caillou.mq4 there are the "Close all trades", Stop the robot", and "Start the robot" features.
Is it possible to add "Execute Sell" and "Execute Buy" features also, so that we can add a trade and then the robot can include those trades as it manages the trades?
It seems sometimes that if we can add trades to the robot, that we can maybe get out of a drawdown faster or even prevent a drawdown.
Just asking.

DislikedBruce, that's a great idea. I have been adding manual trades along the way as well to help the ea along, so the ability to manually add a trade that the ea would manage would be great.Ignored
DislikedGuys, have a question about 1.04 vers. How you guys use/activate "Close all trades", Stop the robot", and "Start the robot" features? I seen it on chart but when I click on it seems like doesn't work in 1.04 ver.
Thank you in advance.Ignored
DislikedDouble click the label and then drag, that causes it to get redrawn back and runs the code, i think!
If i find time i'll have a go at adding the Execute Buy/Sell Labels as well.
I've had the v1.09 versions running for over week and they are both up in profit, the Edd version makes less profit but has DD about a 1/5th of base method. I've been travelling with work so not much time this week for coding. Hopefully i'll be able to go through posts and spend a bit more time on this. I'm currently looking at a few EAs and all take time to write,...Ignored
