Disliked
but I am not quite sure what the consensus is as to which one is having the most successful/sustainable results/performance.Ignored
The Beast is hugely successful. It makes profits without breaking a sweat in all but the most extreme of circumstances (i.e. earthquake/nuclear meltdown in major financial centre).
As for performance, read the thread again. It's full of performance figures. I'm making in the region of 10-15% per month, with very low DD and comfortably low floating DD.
My cash ISAs pay me 3.5% a YEAR. Therefore I consider The Beast to be performing rather well compared to my other investments
As for sustainability, well, your guess is as good as anyone elses. There's no reason why it's profitability should change in the short/medium term, but the markets will evolve over time and strategies will have to evolve with them. However, if and when the market does shift on its axis a little bit, I've no doubt that by that time we'll all be using something coded by Steve and looking back with a smile at the time when we were taking 15% a month with the Beast.
If you're prepared to put some time in, set up as many of Steve's EAs on demo and get to grips with the strategy which underlies them. Steve's coded many different types of strategy so the knowledge you will pick up as you understand each will be invaluable.
You HAVE to understand the strategy AND the EA. Because if something unusual happens and you've got real money in your account, you need to know when and how to manually intervene (which you will almost certainly have to do).
It's not rocket science (Steve, Nanningbob, Macman etc have done all the hard work) so read, test, read, test, read, test, etc, etc, etc.....and you'll be making relatively safe and consistent profits in no time at all.
