Itīs a CounterTrend version based on fractals, original Caillou version is like "Single Pair" version but this one,......, I think is different.

the trade taken was right, because the fractal are dynamic.
Let me to explain better,http://forex-indicators.net/bill-williams/fractals

In order for a fractal to form, there should be a series of 5 consecutive bars where the middle bar will be the highest preceded and followed by two lower neighboring bars on each side:
-a Buy fractal forms at the top of the price wave with the Highest High in the middle and two Lower highs on each side;
-a Sell fractal forms at the bottom of the price wave with the Lowest Low in the middle and two Higher Lows on each side;

In this version of the ea i wait 2 only candle to check for fractal formation, this is for try catch the beginning of reverse. But doing this we have some false fractal. I hope that this everything is more clear now.

Attached there is the version the wait 3 candle for Fractal confirmation we can try this too, maybe works better.

Hi

I think we need a trailing stop for the basket. As basket grows, lot size also. On a big basket, instead of have target dollar profit, a trailing basket profit will increase A LOT the profit if the basket.

i am talking about 1.04 or 1.05 versions

My backtesting is on H4, I dont think M1 is a suitable TF, becasue it ultimately blows account.

MM in 1.03 is quite simple

0.01 lot for every &1000
No one wants to be defeated~

Been running v1.04 since Friday night and the results are staggering forward testing. I have it running on a $500 demo account using EU, EG, GU M1 charts (settings below) and account balance is up 68%!!

Just added AU and USDCHF as well to see how they effect the results.

I've been running now since Friday night, see previous post, and i added AU and USDCHF yesterday morning. This seems like a bad idea as AU seems to increase floating drawdown from 14% to 84%!!!!!!!

This needs to be addressed so i am thinking the max trades or max margin percent options from v1.02 need to be added to protect account. Also maybe changing the trading times per pair to improve the the results.

I also noticed the SingleTradeProfit of 7 was too high so i reduced to 5, as several times it reach 5.5 and then retraced to -50!!

I like this system but DD needs to be controlled to protect before it could conceivably be traded live. But a $500 account now at $2792 in less that 2 days is crazy :-)

How about a Max DD % of say 30%?

and

Dynamic conservative compounding based upon % of balance , say 0.01 lot per $1000/$5000

Are you using your fractal idea?

I used Magft's settings yesterday and got similar results although sometime in the night my MT4 crashed and I don't know if it was because of the bot. I have a VPS but did not have the bot on it.

I can start testing on my VPS since it looks promising but I'd like to test several set files from others.

In order to strategies works we need very low spread and good amount of price move. So during the asian session we have, generally, very hight spread ant so much price move.
And will be a good idea stop the EA before strong news

Ah, same as magft then. We need to trial some variations.

Yes we need an algorithm to stop the bot trading perhaps 30 mins before and start again 30 mins after the news.

Maybe 0600 Hrs to 1800 Hrs GMT or something similar for trading hours.

Hello Peter,

Have you managed to run the EA on offline Renko charts?
I've been trying but works rarely and only opens one or two trades.

I think running on Renko would be good as on normal candlestick chart there is a big candle and can miss some pips cuz of the candle, only for price to change direction.

Another big candle and price changed direction (for now)
Was an 18pip candle, if using Renko with 2 pip blocks it would come in with profit now...
