I'm silient follower of this thread for a long time, may i ask what broker do You use ? or what timezone is Your broker ? I ask because my H4 candles looks different. This question if ofcourse for Phillip.

I am using IBFX in America at the moment and it is a GMT+0 candle closure.

i am sorry, did you ask me ? lol .

actually ,i have traded uj (long position) several times ,because the inside bar on weekly chart ,i just want to find a good chance on lower time frame .

after the uj had a high price @ 81.06 @ 05.06. 4:00 on h1 chart ,i drawed the fib lines , the price pull back to the 50% fib ,ang low price @ 80.68 , then i get in @ 80.80 @ 05.06.23:00,and stop lose @ 80.65 under the 50 fib and under the 200ema . i added another position after price broke the previous high. this is what i was thinking when i trade . hope you can understand my words.

***Remaining in the spirit of this Thread/Strategy***

Market Rhythm: Our actions on charts.

This is just a quick update for the EurJpy pair on the 4th of May 2011. The 16:00 candle close, strictly on the H4 time frame. Price broke out of the channel, and retested the bottom trendline 2wice, and moving away with a strong bearish engulfing candle. This was the 16:00 candle. Entry was made on the close of this candle. On the MACD was the Zero Break ... everything was in place. But even if the MACD is not saying anything, I wouldn't mind; for the flow of price or market rhythm has it all. And the did was done-trade was ripe!

EurJpy Pair/8:00 candle close/GMT+2 Time zone-May 3rd, 2011


H4 Analysis:
1. We have a strong reversal pattern on the H4 time frame, tf; price has made a lower high as well as a double top (see the 2nd chart for this).
2. Price now broke below the moving averages-8, 21, and the 89; price having broken below the 89, pulled back to it and to the 8ema and was busy moving away in a bearish mode and forming a TC on the MACD.
3. At this stage, I switched to the one Hour chart.

One Hour Early Entry Analysis:
1. We are in a strong down move, price broke the 200sma (the yellow moving average), pulled back to it and to the 21ema forming a tail and proceeded downwards with a strong bearish engulfing candle, making a TC on the MACD.

2. As can be seen in the chart, the 2nd chart, I applied the Fib on the huge bearish engulfing candle moving downwards because stop loss was so big. So expecting a retracement to enter into trade nicely with a good risk; and it came to pass, price retraced on that huge bearish engulfing candle to the 38.2 Fibonacci which was approximately at same level with the 200sma ( sort of a retest of the breakout level) and was moving away making also a TC on the MACD. Actually price was into a triangle, but I neglected that analysis or fact, because the price action has got more weight, so the Lens did not see the trend line or triangle. I was so much convinced for the move downward, so I entered not waiting the H1 bar to close (the M5 helped me).

3. Entry stop loss and exit levels are well specified in the charts below. For the exit, it was at the 161.8 Fibonacci level on the H1 time frame (a unique way of applying the Fib tool-Phillip’s MLTS strategy); this level corresponds with the 50.0 Fibonacci level on the H4 time frame.

4. Risk/Reward ratio was excellent- Risk=15 pips/Reward=40 pips.


Comment: Thank God I took profit without hesitating. See the 2nd chart, the H4 time frame and see how price retraced very quickly forming a very long hammer/tail…surprises in the market.
