Yes, my system is built from few of T101 theories. Basically a lot of fundamentalists know these theories but T101 shows how to put them into practical use.

I have been reading the Simple Trading Method with trader101 for a couple of weeks and found it's concept fascinating though I have a number of concerns. When I went to the last entry in the thread to ask a question, it looked like it died. I couldn't reply there anyway as it told me as a junior member I wasn't permitted (I don't know why).

Anyway, I found this (continuation?) thread but it doesn't look all that healthy, either http://www.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon9.gif.

1. Are there people around still pursuing the system?
2. Has anyone realised any profit with it?

still around and on and always doing the basket in the most simplified fashion, Green buy and Red sell. people here like complicated things too much.

still doing it the simple and profitable way on 5min TF just one indicator turning in profit month in month out call this +420 pips or $42 dollars as far as am concerned profit is profit...

if there is enough interest, I will show us the simple way to set up the chart and we together flog the criminals with 2-3 basket trades per day, small loss big reward.

but we must agree that:
-there would no indicator complexities
-No talk of EA until we have all made enough, trading manually and then we can spare for EA to eat.
-Nobody would ask me for my account statement
-

I have traded this way manually for sometimes and found it very easy and rewarding.

If the old guys are still around show interest, I know some of you have given up on BTS, but come lets do it once more.

If there is enough response, I will list the steps to set up the chart and the tools involved.

Am in, haven't completely given up on basket trading but have taken a break from it for lack of set and easy to follow rules. Hoping your setup provides for this.

Been trading BTS since Jan. 2009 and will continue without hesitation. Count me in and a Skype group would be nice as well for quicker communication as a group in my opinion. The thread can be used for more detailed info if needed.

Thank you Kos for the kind offer of sharing your 'simple' way of trading the basket. I have pretty much been a silent follower of this thread for the past 18 months and during that time have experimented with various methods to trade 101.

there is nothing newly discovered, there is no magic of any kind only a simple way of trading the group of currencies as if am trading only

one pair. only some flavour to make it clearer.

New to BTS: be afraid, be very afraid! cos one wrong dragging of script buy or sell and your account is gone! I will advice you learn from the
distance, start from the back, to understand how we got to where we are now on this thread, a lot has happened, coders come and gone,
traders spent hours trying to get a handle on this and a lot of them have given up. So be very afraid!!!

Old hands in BTS: you all know what I used to say before PATIENCE, be cautious, be flexible, dont argue with the trend else it will catch you
on the wrong side which may last for long.

To all of us guard yourself with the accountProtectEA that is our basket SL and TP the calculation in it depends on you.

TIMEFRAME CHOICE
There will be a lower timeframe which I will be referring to as the STF (signal time frame)
There will be a higher timeframe which I will be referring to as the TTF (trend time frame)

I strongly believe that the best filter ever is to trade with the higher timeframe in view, and that is what we will be doing from now on.

I will show you some trend in 1HR TF that you will wonder where were you when all these were happening?

STF--------------------------------------------TTF
4hr-------------------------------------------- D1
1hr-------------------------------------------- 4hr
30min ----------------------------------------- 4hr
15min ----------------------------------------- 1hr
5min ----------------------------------------- 15min
1min ------------------------------------------ 5min

this is as a result of my search on multi-timeframe trading and I chose 5min - 15min for scalping the basket on one account and 1hr - 4hr TF
for catching big trend

Pick your own as it suits your personality after all its about you and your money.

I am still using the 14 universal pairs selected by julius. The logic behind that selection is still valid up till now. Look at the last basket trade I
posted see who the loosers are and the gainers, you will see that we need all of them in there. eurchf that used to be almost useless among
the bunch has changed recently. and the major ones are behaving somehow but the basket still remain intact.

Again, its my opinion base on experience anyway but you are still very free to do 14, 8, 3 or even 1 its your call
