Thanks guys (Dzieki Kamil). Valid points and good reasons to stay out, but I took it for a quick profit. Sold on break, full profit at 1543.26. Wasn't going to stick around to see this one reverse.

Greenhaze, I missed a big move on Gold late in the day once before, thought it could happen here and now.

1 unit trade, 5.30GBP profit. Drinks are on me!

For a DBLHC the close must close higher then the previous bars high

Hello all,

This is my first post here. I've been following the James16 material for a while, but I'm still very much at the beginning of my trading career. I still have a lot to learn, and I thought I'd start contributing to this thread rather than just lurking.

I'm watching a few things at the moment. We're coming up to some good locations on the daily charts imo. I've attached one I was looking at earlier. It would be nice if we could get some nice bullish pa off the 1.50 with divergence. Looks like its a similar story on the EURCAD too.

Agreed! US wouldnt be dumb enough to declare the guy dead if hes not, but the way they declared was weird. Maybe he died from other circuntances (sickness, age, God's rage, who knows??) and they are just making it oficial so the world can move on... Fair enough.

i got in off the 1hr on that gold trade. it had a double top with solid divergence.

took this trade on my demo account and it nearly went wrong. i saw confluences of gap support and fib ret with a pinbar closing above the 150EMA. I took the trade at retracement and was almost stopped out (i was almost sure i would lol) Was there anything that I missed that perhaps made this a trade not to be taken? Or was it just fine?

technically not a pinbar because the close is not inside the previous bar.
but looks good, imho. with support of ma and rn.

where was your entry?
on IBFX, it (BUOB) doesnt look that good (barely a buob).
well, i think u disregarded 137.00 RN. if u look back 10-12bars to the left of the BUOB, price did stall (got rejected) at that area.
u could've at least placed an order above that area.

anyway, dont put too much weight on any single trade. u will make MANY trades, so a single proftable or losing trade doesnt mean much in the long run (unless that single trade was uber-profitable or an uber-loss ).

Classic stop hunt on low liquidity. That was ideal place for stop losses just below the 1540. That spike cleared the market from weak longs and look at the PA on retracement.

Hi SC, yes BUOB off FxPro or Alpari feed. I liked the location even more than the bar shape, is like break through Res and then test it as Sup forming BUOB.

137 was on my radar too. Somebody here even mentioned it. But I honestly thought the bar structure and location was something that could logically overweight that RN. (also buob was off BRN). So I think it was still a good trade which just didn't work.

Yes MANY trades, good onces, and fail for some reason.

This is what my EC starting Jan 1 look like.
I don't know what is the problem. Some bug in my trading obviously exist, equity curve dosn't suppose to look like this trading J16 I think!
Maybe I should add some kind of a filter, like EMA, or trades with Div only... still thinking
