I just browsing through the website and then i come across this thread...this is very helpful of you Steve...respect....~ I was trying to figure out some programming on EA...im a retard in programming...i couldnt really understand the coder tho....maybe you could lend me an helping hand..would really appreciate it...~

About the pipholic_Sr its a Support/Resistance indicator. It draws small S/R horizontal lines of the range price action in any given TF. It is the HEART of this new EA, which i proposed... the trigger will be break of the SR line with 3 pip breach.(trend confirmed by 55 EMA) (momentum confirmed 10EMA) So if price broke resistance line, our stop will be 3 pip below support line. Let me put a visual on and label it for better view...
Truth to tell, I had forgotten about this.

I had a few minutes, so here it is without the moving averages. Explain how you use them and I will add them. I wouldn't get your hopes up too high unless you have been trading with the setup manually since you posted the indi.

Here it is. Some people have had difficulty with downloads since FF updated their site over the weekend. If it still does not download, you have to take this up with FF.

I'm running the EA from the first post on an 1h chart. The preset file is attached and also the results, wich are not representativ because this EA was running just for 1 week and my computer was not all the time online.

Dear all,

I'm really interested in this EA. Steve, will you let me know if this EA will keep taking a trade every break out, because many times there will be retracement before the trend continues. Also can you make it stop taking trade for that day if it closed positive? I really appreciate your contribution. So I would like this EA will keep taking the trade until it hits the profit or until the new candle appear, so when the new candle appear, any open trade will be closed.

i have try "GoodBoy's Daily Breakout auto-trading EA by Steve Hopwood" with RSI as my signal, and very often loss at friday, could you please, to filter your EA to not trade at friday?

I have a suggestion for this ea. I consider it to have legs. Hopefully it could be coded.
Set pendings at previous day hi/low. No TP or SL
When one order is triggered, automatically adjust the other pending to double lot size.
If at the end of the day the original trade is in profit, close the trade.
If at the end of the day the original trade is still inside the previous bar, the ea waits until d1 closes with original trade in profit.
If market retraces during the day, the other waiting original pending will be triggered at double lot size. The ea would then go for BE.
The ea would enter double lotsize each time PA broke the original HI/Low until BE was achieved.

Visual backtesting looked good, as price never stays in constant range.

I've been a quiet follower of a few select strategies reading and testing stuff as I go. I'm no newbie to trading and have been trading live for 4 or so years profitably using my own techniques.

For now I dont want to take up much space in this thread nor divert attention from it. I'd like to share an idea with you offline at first. I noticed it using the MTF RSI you posted. I'd like to get your thoughts on what I've found to see if you agree and feasibility of making an EA for it.

If there is interest please let me know the best way to contact you. Afterwards if you believe it has legs you can create a dedicated thread for it.

I apply this EA on GOLD pairs, so far so good on BT and FT's demo
But can it open an orders everyday (when signal is available) regardless previous opened order is cleared/floated?
