Its amazing, I haven't started looking for the divergence setups yet but I can see how powerful they can be.

I have been doing more testing and have managed to get to the 4 week in Feb from the beginning of January. So Far trading just the pull backs I have had 36 trades 30 have been winners and only 6 losers, thats an 83% hit rate! I have just had a run of 19 winners in a row!!!

By the way Divergence... I had 5 losers in a row mid January did you experience the same thing?

Thanks

Here is an indicator with divergence. Hidden (dashed line) look to continue, (solid line) regular look for reversal or ranging. Might help a little. Paul

For anyone still needing faith in this system take a look at my trades over the last 3 weeks, there has been 1 maybe 2 losers and the majority i called before or as the trade happened.

You have proof there that all you need to do is follow the rules and practice this method and you will become profitable.

Unfortunately i wont be able to post the trades anymore as off to do my summer job but will still pop in when i can. Hope i have helped some of you to see the light.
Happy Trading!

Nice thread mate, i have traded systems similar before, wondered why you didnt use a close above the sma (for shorts) as your exit , seems youre using it for your entries...

just a thought... anyhow , good repeatable stuff based on s/r

Hey d4n,
When you use applied to close, your higher highs in price will sometimes not line up with peaks in RSI. Same thing with the lower lows. The're off by 1 candle. Not saying you use the wrong setting, just wondering if you ever noticed that? I'd like to know what Divergence uses. Hey, you can trade my money any day.

yes i know what you mean about the rsi being slightly off, i guess ive just got used to using it that way.
if i ever start a managed account you'll be the first to know

Hi Divergence,

Wow that is impressive.

I figured as much! It must just be my reading of the charts... although to be honest I wasn't taking into account the waves or divergence or anything like that. So that is probably why.

Even with those losses, I am now up to 2nd week of March with an 86 % strike rate which is incredible to me anyway.

I will watch an rewatch the videos and reread the thread for clarity.

Do you go into the chat room by the way?

Happy Easter Everyone!

Thanks

yes, this method when applied properly proves wrong all the naysayers here on ff who deem consistent profitable trading short TFs is impossible. I was looking up random periods from 2007 on and this will hardly cease to work; it simply exploits the (only) way the markets work. H/Ls, good s/r levels, a bit of wave counting and watching for divergence are mandatory, the key is in cherry picking the entries, location is what matters most IMO. Div's webinars are pure gold. At least I found what I was looking for. A BIG thanks.

something else to consider (even though you won) at the point you took the short we were still long mode, the price hadn't broken the low prior to the HH (although it was pretty close)

Yes that's right but long mode would apply to a trend continuation trade. I took it as a countertrend trade (123 following divergence, low of setup bar was within 2 pips of point 2). Also 5 waves up completed off triple bottom asian low. But I wouldn't trade live that day at all, markets were practically closed, anything could happen due to low liquidity.. see the GU spike around that time.

Hi Tritom,

I like the indicators on your chart (excellent 123 setup btw), would you mind sharing them (ie the time zones and the info in the bottom right corner.

All the best

Ps Sorry, just read that you might be posting the EA in another section.

yep I will and I don't want to clutter this clean thread with tech stuff.. the EA is just a tool and might not be useful to everyone.. the session indy is Xi-Sessions.mq4, just configure the session to highlight (according to your br0ker time) and put as many instances on your chart as you have sessions.. you can find it here on FF in Tech section

Hi All and Happy Easter!

I have a quick question...

In the pdf guide it is mentioned that the setup candle should cross the SMA? Well I have seen a few examples in the posts and also the videos where the setup candle does not cross the SMA at all so for example if you are going long the Setup candles is already above the SMA.

Is it correct in saying that ultimately the criteria is for a close above the SMA (for Longs) after a pull back along with a CCI above 50 (in a simplistic form)

Thanks
