If you take from the 18:00 bar and stop at the 1:00 bar then you are only capturing 7 hours
Therefore my logic says to get the 8 hours you must include the 17:00 bar.
Going back to Nico's original post and forgetting the "dispute" re the hours he uses in that post he says between 18:00 and 2:00 so a high price at say 18:05 would be between those two times yet you would be excluding it because it is included in the 18:00 bar - I suspect the confusion in your mind (if I may be so bold as to say that there is a confusion) is that you have suggested that the all price action on that 1H bar is excluded

Update in post 1. I have spent a couple of hours bug-squishing and the bot appears to be doing as intended.
I have added the LookBackCandles so we can adjust the range start time.
saeddb's ea was a big, big help with some of the logic. Most of my problems were centred around working out which trades in the history belong to today. His ea also reminded me that trading this on a Monday is going to be a no-no for most of us, and that some might not want to trade on Fridays, so I have added inputs to allow us to turn off these days; defaults to no trading on Monday, trading as normal on Friday.
saeddb's ea is a pretty sophisticated piece of kit; those of you who have not seen it before should give it a try. The only advantages my version has is: the code is open-source so you can modify it yourself; users can request features.
An extra that I can add for anyone who wants it is flexible trade closure/deletion times on Fridays. Sing out if anyone wants these.

If that is correct then the current bars would be 17:00 GMT to end of 01.00 bar but subject to moving with BST changes

This is my one and only contribution to the time thingy. People reading all this will begin to understand why I refuse to get involved in time zone discussion and will never try to code gmt offsets etc.
If an doubt, scoobs knows this sub commander with a really good wristwatch and who surfaces every 6 months or so.

I still confused though. Since I did a back test of Nicotina's previous posts. But I'm open to anythings..So we start count from the 17.00 GMT+0 bar until the end of bar 00.00 GMT+0. Then place 2 pending orders at the open of bar 01.00 GMT+0. Are these correct?
So we have our sell pending order already at 134.402 for today?

The power company have been fitting new cables today, so I have not had any electricity.
Some bugs emerged this morning. These are fixed in the post 1 update.

I think that the latest version is not running correctly
If I load on a new chart the box is immediately drawn based on the current candle when I would not expect any box to be drawn until the RangeCalculationHour arrived

I do not get that. Make sure your download worked properly by deleting and re-downloading the ea; you would be surprised how often a download fails.
I just updated Nico with the latest bot and my bot drew a box as soon as it was compiled........About 2 hours off my time....
My usual 4 digit crook ..... .04 lot size OOTB except for times and allow Monday trades and a TS
